We would like help with our Sustainable Community Projects focused on regenerative agriculture:
Teachers:
Who can work with the team on our school program. We offer environmental education to students in grade 4-5-6-7-8 i.e ages 10-14 and thereafter engage them to setup a kitchen garden, agroforestry and also plant indigenous native species. We also want to go a step further to teach on biodiversity and in the field learning experiences that are fun and exciting.
Creatives:
We would like to improve the design and content of our environmental education booklet to make it fun and full of activities.
Scientists/Environmental/Sustainability Specialists:
We need help to breakdown scientific content in a simple way to the visitors who come to the Museum. At the Museum we have 152 indigenous tree species and plants that we showcase as well as herbs. We would like to share more about this and its importance.
Skills:
We are looking at someone to help us learn carpentry and woodwork targeting local youth and school going children learn key life lessons.
Photographers:
We are privileged to have 25 birds in our Museum and lots of pollinators, insects and bugs of all kinds. We invite a photographer who is good in birding and more specifically macrophotography to help map the small world around us. We would want to safeguard the tiny world for these small insects by coming up with a simple macrophotography adventure course for visitors who come to our place every year.
Eco Tourism:
We are based at the foot of Mt.Kenya which is surrounded by rivers, lakes, bike paths, hike paths and lots of outdoor experiences. We believe this is one of the things we can explore for our visitors around the Mountain to package as a sustainable income generating activity. We welcome expertise in this area to build a program that can help us create jobs in the community but also ensure people care for the environment. We specifically love hiking, photography, and Mountain biking.Langues
