  Description

  House in Burnaby BC - we have done most of our projects around the house this summer so theres not much left to do but still open to possibilities. There is some garden and inside maintenance that will always need to be done but for people who are travelling with work visas this house seems to be a good place for those who are arriving and looking for jobs and need to rent a room short or long term. So far we have hosted people from Chile, Poland, France, Costa Rica and Germany who stay from a few weeks to a year or two depending on where they get work. Some return to get sorted between jobs in different places some might still be coming back. We have two people living there who work or go to school fulltime but nearing the end of their working holiday or moving on so there is lots of room for anyone new.

  Hébergement

  Own bedroom, can provide food but share cooking because I like to be gone doing activities so not always home at meal times people can fend for themselves most of the time. When I am out of town for work, people are on their own.

  Smoking must be done away from the house or it goes in the windows. Time off - easy to use public transportation but there is parking for a vehicle if have one. Usually I am happy to drive if invited to join the fun. I'm of the philosophy that if its a nice day its time to go do activities - save the helping for cloudy days. I do not expect people to help if there are better things to go do. I usually do a bit in the morning when its cooler then go hiking or to the beach. I have no time limit to get anything done except a little outside painting before it starts to rain.
