Beautiful home full of history welcomes some TLC in Verteillac, France

Currently my husband and I occupy our Maison de Maitre - We have organised and hosted celebrated residential creative workshops at our venue for the last 14 years and will be hosting a Blues&Boogie Concert at the end of September this year. We are looking for a general helper with setting up the property for Autumn/Winter, but also someone who is interested in music and would enjoy assisting with the preparation and running of the concert. Our general property caretaker, Danny, has been with us for 10 years now and lives in one of our barns most of the year. We currently have a Ukrainian couple staying as guests in one of our gites.

Our gardens were planted by us and are now full of rare and unusual plants. We are situated in the very heart of the Dordogne with many historic towns and villages with their beautiful and lively markets, music and traditions. Our closest village, Verteillac - about a 15 min walk from us - is the liveliest in the area with several cafes, a boulangerie, post office and general store. Driving license recommended if you want to get to know the area as there is no public transport.

We have approx 2 acres of mature gardens and buildings that need maintenance. We already have one full-time helper, but we could use some extra help

Own bedroom and bathroom; shared cooking facilities. Use of pools, table tennis and other sports facilities depending on season. We cannot pay a regular wage, but accommodation etc is offered and a contribution towards the cost of food and pocket money

Famously beautiful venue in S W France full of history. Access to car if full driving licence available, swimming pool bicycles and all mod cons. Opportunity to visit local historic sites, go rock climbing, trekking, relax in the gardens or go for long walks. Occasional rental of one of the barns means there is a turnaround of visitors and we also have family and friends staying over the summer months.
