    Description

    Hi there,

I have just transitioned to being a solo mum to my beautiful 4. Maya 8, Kyan 6, Lani 3 and Luca freshly newborn.
We've moved to this beautiful piece of the far North about three years ago and are surrounded by a beautiful community of homeschooling parents, families and surfers.

We live 25 min from the ocean, 20 minutes from the lake and our house is located right amongst the bush.

This year I'd love to introduce Dutch and French to my children's language skills and as always we love introducing other peoples cultures in the mix as well!

My children are hanging out for an extra adult to play with, to learn from and to role model all aspects of running a household and land together with me.

There's a massive garden, forest and chickens, Willa the dog, kyra the cat and a runaway Flemish giant Milky the rabbit to nurture as well along with lots of fruit trees and forest to be cared for and played in.

I love yoga, pilates, meditating at the moment I'm settling in with our last little baby and meditating is all I can do right now :) until bub's is a little older. Yet peace, balance and harmony are my 3 number ones when it comes to living life and the choices I make day to day.

If this sounds like fun for you, we'd love to welcome you to join us for a while :)

Here you would benefit from spending time in the Far North of New Zealand. This Magnificent place is next door to the Kaitaia walking track and only 15 min away from 90 mile beach or shipwreck bay. Both beaches are amazing places to soak up some of New Zealands beautiful nature. Also being from Belgium myself I can introduce Dutch, French or support you with the English Language if you seek to introduce or improve those skills for yourself. I am also an art teacher by trade and even though I'm a little rusty I would be happy to start picking up teaching some of those skills again as well. I like the practise of living healthily, mindfully and in harmony. My kids have a surfing board and mine is picking up dust while I'm caring for little Luca so feel free to use my long board anytime. So if you feel the need to come back to basics this is a good place to be.

After a few workaway experiences we've realised our first week is usually going through a healthy spring clean of the inside and outside of our home. This includes cleaning guttering, brushing outside walls, carports, Fixing small jobs etc. while getting to know each others strengths. As we get know each other an create a new flow in our home and are feeling comfortable with taking on some other tasks like teaching a skill to our children or joining in the morning flow, or simply take responsibility for one of the projects we are working on. We choose to study from home so a helping hand with projects and jobs in and around the property as well as teaching in general is a welcome gift. Any of your skills in art, music, sustainable living, languages as well as introducing your culture to our family is a welcome addition. We also have way too much bamboo and Kyan does helping an adult with cutting the bush down to create space for our native bush to thrive.

We live in a villa that has been pulled by horse and cart around 1920. We have a spare room in the house for 1 person to join us. You will require a car as we live rurally, yet very close to town, beaches and walking tracks.

During your time off there are walking tracks, surfing beaches close by, there is a cinema, a museum and library within 5 minutes and three different swimming pools in town. Only 1 hour from here there are also surfing dunes. We have yet to discover our surroundings ourselves, so we welcome you along this journey of course.
