I've had a nice week at Vincent's farm, i really like his cabin he built by himself and the amazing garden he made, it is a really hard work to do but it worth, he has a really piece of land without chimicals nor garbages. It's so cool to meet people like him who respects the ground, Sicily deserves it !
I have learnt few things about permaculture

What a happiness having reached Sicily and work on the Vincent farm. From the beginning we had good communication and he picked me up at the bus stop at night. Vincent is an excellent boss and partner to work and he cooks delicious!!! he gave me tips for cooking and he taught me a lot about work on the farm. We had long talks about travel and life
… read more experiences. His parents welcomed me very well and although I do not speak Italian I could talk to them and they made me feel like in my house. Vincent also introduced me to his friends who sometimes helped us with the work we were doing. On my free days Vincent lent me a bicycle so I can visit the area and that was fabulous. Every day we work with excellent energy and I enjoyed it a lot. I will miss to see the sunsets from the farm and the "delicious paninos" that Saverio brought every mornings . I hope to return some day to work on this farm with Vincent and stay longer because I spent an excellent time here. My friend I hope soon the farm is finished as you want and you live the life you wish. Big hug to all your friends and especially your parents. Thanks for everything!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Vincent shows a lot of experience and maturity that exceeds his age. It was a pleasure to spend 2 weeks with him. The weather in winter was mixed, if it was raining we wouldn't work or do very light work in the polytunnel. If it was sunny we would work from 9-5 at a leisurely pace. We only had 2 really strenuous days digging trenches and preparing
… read more beds for planting. Other jobs included planting beans, putting seeds into trays. Vincent is very interested in experimental crops not commonly found in Italy such as guava. We also had time at the weekends to take visit to historical Palermo, Mazara, Marsala and the Greek ruins at Selinunte. I wish Vincent the best for his future and hope he continues to host workers because he has lots of skills and knowledge to pass on!

Vincente is passionate about natural farming and very knowledgeable about it. He grows lots of herbs, fruits, beans and vegetables, he is very experimental with exotic fruit, too. During the two weeks time we helped digging, seedling, help with irrigation system and some tasks in the green house. Vincente shared different local and homemade Sicilian food with us, all are amazing! He also gave us good tips to visit nearby towns. It was an authentic farm experience, thank you Vincente, hope your dream comes true and enjoy life on your beautiful farm!

I stayed with Vincent for 1 week and helped him on his permaculturefield.
I enjoyed the work (planting beans, seperating garlic, weeding ...) and the time with him during the work. I also learned a few things about permaculture.
We had breakfast together and started working around 8/9am. after lunchbrake i left the field mostly around 1/2 pm and

I could live in an appartment in the garage of the house of his parent in Castelvetrano, where I had my own kitchen and bathroom.
If you want to be independent and learn and work on permaculture, but live in the small town Castelvetrano, this is a good place to go.
All the best for your project and your life on your land in future!!!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Vincent is a really nice, funny and easy-going guy. He speaks very well English, the same like his friends. I spent with Vincent 2 weeks. During this time I was working on his lands building professional garden beds, net-protections for fruit trees and many other smaller jobs in his gardens.
Vincent lives with parents, who were cooking for me my

I had my private comfortable room with the bathroom :)
Working with Vincent was pleasure, also because I am IT guy, so working in the gardens was something really interesting for me :) The job wasn't very hard. I could do breaks when I wanted. It was perfect that the working time was from 8 am to 1 pm and rest of the day I had for myself and I could cycle sightseeing everyday new places around. Vincent has also cool friends and you can spend time with them. Once we all went to Selinunte - Greek Temples - amazing place :) You have to go there!
I can really recommend to stay at Vincent place!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
