  Description

  Hi, I'm Alexandra, I'm part of a riding school in Castiglion Fibocchi near Arezzo.
  We house a total of 18 horses and ponies. Our riding school is surrounded by nature, in a position between hills and plains perfect for rides and trekking. From April to October we have mainly German customers, and during the summer holidays we organize summer camps for a small group of children.
  
  The riding stable is the centre of our family life: we all ride and help Andrea, who works at the riding stable.
  We exchange ideas with each other on a daily basis and are open to new cultural influences, traditions and ideas.

  We are passionate about Maremma horses, a breed that is traditionally used in Maremma by butteri, for working with livestock. Maremma horses have a tenacious nature and a robust and resistant structure, perfect for our territory. With us you will find not only the opportunity to develop your equestrian skills, but also to undertake wonderful rides in the upper Valdarno that will allow you to establish a unique relationship with the horse and with nature.
  We maintain traditions such as the blessing of horses and visit historical events such as the Saracen Festival in Arezzo or the Palio in Siena.
  The riding stable belongs to a large organic farm.This allows insights into many production areas such as the olive oil mill, the wine cellar, the cheese factory, the bakery, etc. There is also a farm museum.
  Many people of different nationalities work together, but the business is thoroughly Italian and family-run.
  Thanks to my many years of intercultural professional experience, I can convey a feel for the appropriate Italian communication style and behavioral norms.

  Aide

  Experience with horses is required, to take them to paddocks, to saddle them and to assist during lessons. It is necessary to groom them and clean the box and paddock.
  We are working in a team and set up a weekly programm of work. The hourly wage is 8.50 euros. The stay should be around 3 months, because there is so much to experience.

  Hébergement

  We offer free accommodation in an apartment shared with other colleagues in the village, which is just a few minutes from the riding school. Everyone has their own room.
  At the riding school there is also a cosy clubhouse with a small kitchen where we have lunch.
