Hello, my name is Philippe. I live with my wife Florence and our two daughters. I manage a estate: there is a 15th century chateau, 70 hectares of woodland, sheep, hens, geese and horses. I am also a caterer with a large professional kitchen producing typical burgundian cuisine.

I can teach you about any facet of life in Burgundy; from skinning a deer or how to make wine, how to use traditional Burgundian roof tiles or the secrets of Burgundian sauces. I speak English quite well as I spent five years in San Francisco, working as a chef teaching patisserie courses.
I do many different jobs and I need help with them all: working in the forest felling trees; renovating buildings; growing vegetables; looking after the animals; producing high-quality meals. I would expect 25 hours help a week, and I am very flexible about when (you don't have to work every day).
You will have your own room, with an ensuite bathroom and private kitchen.
The area I live in is well serviced by train, but having a driving license would be an advantage. We are two hours from Paris but also deep in very beautiful countryside. The river Yonne is on our doorstep and we are surrounded by medieval villages and historic sites (Vezelay Cathedral is a bike ride away). I am only looking for long-term workawayers (minimum one month).
