  Description

  My name is Damien. I manage a lodge on the island of Mauritius. The lodge is currently closed and we are finalising details before opening up to the public. There are so many fun projects on the go so we can finally open to the public.
  
  The lodge is 350 Ha of pristine forest overlooking the beautiful eastern lagoon of Mauritius, there is a lot of wildlife on the property such as endemic birds, deer, wild pig and reptiles. Waterfalls, hikes and facilities are also abundant on the property.
  
  This is a privately owned property, more information can be shared once communication has been made.
  
  I have also started a bamboo treatment facility, treating bamboo to be used as a wood alternative.

  Mauritius is a multi-cultural island country that has incredibly diverse experiences to offer. The property is a nature experience, allowing people to fully immerse themselves in an outdoor environment.
  
  We are an awesome team of 6 here on the property, all local Mauritians, everybody is skilled and motivated to work on this beautiful property, each bringing their own skills to the table. We love it here, we are looking for someone who is equally motivated about the outdoors and willing to be a part of this special family. We hope to also be able to learn from you as well!
  
  Things we are abled to share knowledge about: Carpentry, plumbing, painting, french, creole, fieldwork, cooking, dog love etc etc etc.

  Aide

  *Construction - I am a carpenter and am busy with renovations on the guest areas on the property. Woodwork, cement, painting, plumbing, electrical skills etc is a BONUS.
  
  *Gardening - We have plenty of space for agric work, we are too busy with construction and fieldwork that we have unfortunately fallen behind on starting a nursery, soil production and growing vegetables.
  
  *Fieldwork - We have beautiful hiking routes that are past their maintenance cycle. We make fun things like stairs and walking routes.

  Hébergement

  Fully furnished house with beautiful mountain views, functional kitchen, big balcony, clean bathroom, good WIFI. The house is awesome. You will be primarily alone in the house, except on weekends. My house is just next to this house so you will never be completely alone, there are also 2 big guard dogs that roam the property that are fun to be around.

  Autres infos...

  Since Mauritius is so small, everything is accessible by bus or car in a relatively short time frame. Activities such as hiking, surfing, snorkelling, markets, kite surfing, beach bumming etc are all within an hour and a half by car. The internet can tell you more about all activities and available on the island.
  
  I have a spare car that I can rent to anyone with a valid driving license.
