Description
We are a family of four Germans living on the lovely island of Corfu. With our two daughters , two cats and two dogs we live here permanently since 2,5 years.
Our House here on Corfu is an inspiring eco-friendly project we want tot create a more sustainable way of living with. We want to create a community of environmentally friendly houses that work in harmony with nature, alongside a soon to be growing permaculture community garden we want to establish that nurtures organic produce and local biodiversity.
More than just a place to live, we want our house to be a hub for cultural exchange, learning, and community engagement. We invite volunteers and like-minded individuals to join us on this journey.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

At our place, you'll experience a rich cultural exchange that blends the local Greeks with the growing expat community of our Area (Pagi/Agios Georgios/Arillas), which is just a short drive away from us. Arillas for example has a lively cultural and spiritual scene, hosting traditional Greek festivals and dancing, music and spiritual festivals throughout the year
Additionally, the area is home to the Corfu Buddha Hall, the Corfu Spirit Festival and the Agape Zoe festival.
The area we live in is a little less social but we have two lovely traditional greek villages (Prinilas & Pagi) in walking distance.
Engaging with both the local Greek residents and the international expat community has been such a nice experience for us and offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse cultural practices, traditions, and shared experiences.
In summer there's lots of social activities, drumming on the beach, yoga classes etc. But even in the quiet wintertime there's some cafes and restaurants open in driving distance and social gatherings like Sundays estatic dance or full moon gatherings are still happening. Also on our land we try to bring some of our cultural heritage like a latererna fest together with the more traditional event of olive harvesting. We love to have people around us and do quite a lot of social gatherings ourselves.Projets impliquant des enfants

We're looking for a single traveler, a couple or two friends with permaculture experience/interest to join us building our soon to be permaculture community garden. You'll be involved hands-on—from planning the layout to planting and maintaining a growing, sustainable space. You will work with us that will be hands on the project aswell and also a group of friends that work with us on the community garden. We would be either working in the morning or also afternoons depends on the task, weather and availability.
To clarify this, we are not a business, we do not produce anything that is sold. The olive harvest in autumn and also the community garden will be only for our family and friends.
We expect a 4 hour 5 days a week working commitment.Langues

Our volunteers will stay in a cozy, well-equipped glamping dome that offers a comfortable home close to nature. The dome can be heated to ensure warmth during cooler nights and features an outdoor toilet for convenience.
Shower is available too, as is a washing machine and Wifi. On-site amenities include a natural swimming pool, perfect for refreshing dips, and an open-air barbecue area ideal for fresh cooked meals by us or you and bbq. Additionally, our location is just a 10-minute drive from the ocean, allowing easy access to beautiful beach walks or afternoons spend at the beach. A lot of hiking opportunities are available starting from our property.
We will share around 4-5 times a week the vegetarian lunch meal all together. For dinner a few times a week it will be shared (mostly in form of a BBQ, vegetarian with some local fish) and the rest of the times we will provide vegetarian ingredients for the workaway to cook themself at the outdoor kitchen. Regarding breakfast we will provide either bread and additional things like cheese, cream cheese, jam etc or if preferred fruit and porridge to be prepared by the workaway themself in the little coffee corner in the sleeping dome or the outside BBQ.Autres infos...
Our secluded hilltop location offers breathtaking sea views and a very slow and calming environment, close to nature, ideal for those seeking a peaceful place to stay. While there are no shops in walking distance, we provide a car in agreement. For outdoor enthusiasts, the region offers beautiful hiking opportunities, such as the Donkey path or the hike to the beautiful Porto Timoni. We're a family of four with two beautiful daughters, two cats and two dogs. We would love you to be part of the family but also respect our boundaries and privacy.
To ensure a harmonious and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask our Workaway guests to observe the following house rules:
