Description
Hello, we are Giuli and Tino. Several years ago he decided to change city life for a rural immersion in the privileged environment of the Sierra Nevada National Park. We took over the management of a campsite in the Alpujarra Granada. During these years we have been learning as we go and right now we not only have the hospitality aspect (cabins, camping area, swimming pools, gym...) working, but we are also investigating sustainable projects such as a small chicken farm, an orchard ecological, resource use systems, etc. We love receiving guests from all over the world and we aspire to offer, more than a hotel stay, a satisfying human experience in the incredible natural environment in which we find ourselves. It is a joy to see how, after so much effort and learning, many guests repeat or recommend us to their friends. In addition, we are getting to know and enjoying the traditional ways of life of La Apujarra, based mainly on personal relationships and working together. Now we are lucky enough to work to live instead of living to work.
Hola, somos Giuli y Tino. Hace varios años decidió cambiar la vida de ciudad por una inmersión rural en el entorno privilegiado del Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada. Nos hicimos con la gestión de un camping en la Alpujarra Granadina. Durante estos años hemos ido aprendiendo sobre la marcha y ahora mismo tenemos no sólo el aspecto hostelero (cabañas, zona de acampada, piscinas, gimnasio...) funcionando, sino que además estamos investigando proyectos sostenibles como una pequeña granja de gallinas, un huerto ecológico, sistemas aprovechamiento de recursos, etc. Nos encanta recibir huéspedes de distintos sitios del mundo y aspiramos a ofrecer, más que una estancia hostelera, una experiencia humana satisfactoria en el entorno natural increíble en que nos encontramos. Es una alegría comprobar cómo, después de tanto esfuerzo y aprendizaje, muchos huéspedes repiten o nos recomiendan a sus amigos. Además, estamos conociendo y disfrutando de los modos de vida tradicionales de La Apujarra, basados principalmente en las relaciones personales y el trabajo en común. Ahora tenemos la suerte de trabajar para vivir en lugar de vivir para trabajar.

We believe that the main benefit of the experience would be day to day, living to the rhythm of nature and enjoying everything it offers. La Alpujarra, in the Sierra Nevada National Park, is a peculiar, wild area, with the weight of the history of all the people who inhabited it. For centuries, the Alpujarra has mixed the most ancient local traditions with the novelties that each visitor has been introducing. From the Moors of the 15th century to the European bohemians of the 20th, the Alpujarra has always been a unique land where individual freedom is only limited by the necessity and convenience of life in common. As a volunteer, you will be able to enjoy all the camping facilities and explore the Alpujarra area, with its White Towns, the Sierra Nevada National Park (where you can practice winter sports), the Almería coast (less than an hour ) and all Andalusia in general.

Creemos que el principal beneficio de la experiencia sería el día a día, viviendo al ritmo de la naturaleza y disfrutando de todo lo que ella ofrece. La Alpujarra, en pleno Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada, es una zona peculiar, salvaje, con el peso de la historia de todas las gentes que la habitaron. Desde hace siglos, la Alpujarra mezcla las tradiciones locales más ancestrales con las novedades que cada visitante ha ido introduciendo. Desde los moriscos del Siglo XV hasta los bohemios europeos del XX, la Alpujarra ha sido siempre una tierra única donde la libertad individual sólo se ve limitada por la necesidad y conveniencia de la vida en común.
Como voluntario, podrás disfrutar de todas las instalaciones del cámping y explorar la zona de la Alpujarra, con sus Pueblos Blancos, el Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada (donde se pueden practicar deportes de invierno), la costa de Almería (a menos de una hora) y toda Andalucía en general.

We would be delighted to receive people from all places and conditions. The only thing essential would be an open mind, a desire to live together, share the experience of the Alpujarra and learn every day by interacting with different people. A minimum level of Spanish would be necessary, since we speak a basic level of English. Beyond that any kind of skill will be welcome. The type of campsite makes it necessary to help with the following tasks: Cleaning, laundry and help in the kitchen. gardening: maintenance and care of trees and other flora. general maintenance: there is always cleaning, masonry and repair tasks to do, especially painting and decorating in the coming months. Others: there is never a lack of tasks to be done on the farm, but none are really specialized. We will be happy to receive new ideas based on the skills of each volunteer.

Estaríamos encantados de recibir personas de todo lugar y condición. Lo único imprescindible sería una mente abierta, tener ganas de vivir en común, compartir la experiencia de la Alpujarra y aprender cada día interactuando con gente distinta. Sería necesario un nivel mínimo de Castellano, ya que hablamos un inglés nivel básico. Más allá de eso cualquier tipo de habilidad será bienvenida. La tipología del camping hace necesaria ayuda en las siguientes tareas:
Limpieza, Lavandería y ayuda en cocina.
jardinería: mantenimiento y cuidado de árboles y demás flora.
mantenimiento general: siempre hay tareas de limpieza, albañilería y reparación que hacer, especialmente pintar y decorar en los próximos meses.
Otros: nunca faltan tareas por hacer en la finca, pero ninguna realmente especializada. Estaremos encantados de recibir nuevas ideas basadas en las habilidades de cada voluntario.

Hébergement
We have several types of accommodation available. In principle, we offer a large room for 1/2 people, but we have other options in case we have more volunteers. Of course, it is possible for you to come with your own van, caravan or tent. You can enjoy all the facilities and services of the campsite (unlimited internet, swimming pool...)
Tenemos varios tipos de alojamiento disponibles. En principio, ofrecemos una habitación grande para 1/2 personas, pero tenemos otras opciones en caso de tener más voluntarios. Por supuesto, es posible que vengas con tu propia furgoneta, caravana o tienda de campaña. Podrás disfutar de todas las instalaciones y servicios del camping (internet ilimitado, piscina...)

Somos nuevos en este sistema y tenemos mucha ilusión por probarlo y convivir con gente nueva y de mente abierta. Estaremos encantados de escuchar propuestas e ideas interesantes en cuanto a qué puedes ofrecer para la finca.
