Description
Hello volunteer. We are Julian and Isabel. We are a family of four (ourselves, our daughter, and our son), and we also have two assistants who help us during the week. We teach English, primarily online, and live in a peaceful farming town. You will be part of our team. Bojacá (55 minutes from Bogotá) is a peaceful town. You can walk relaxed in its streets. Here, the people are friendly. Every weekend, especially on Sundays, the town hosts a festival with dancers, shopping, food stalls, a small amusement park, and blessings from the local church. That weekly event attracts many local tourists from Bogotá and beyond, providing a fun experience and the primary economic activity for the town. It's really fun!
We can pick you up from the Airport or Bus Terminal, but if that day the plate of our car has restricted entry to Bogotá (Bogotá's rule), you can take an Uber to Mosquera, and we will pick you up in front of the entrance of the main church of Mosquera. (Mosquera is a town 30 minutes from Bogotá).
But if you want to get here yourself, you can take a TransMilenio rapid bus to the end of the line at Portal 80/ Terminal 80, then from there take an intercity bus to Facatativa, and we can pick you up.
Feel free to message us, and we'll help you figure out the transport options. -

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
This is a place that will help you immerse yourself in the Spanish language while improving your linguistic skills, as we are native speakers.
We will show you different ways to enjoy our city. With mountains nearby, you can explore nature and have a wonderful time. Those who come to collaborate with us always say that our town is one of the safest in Colombia. Remember that there are buses to Bogotá (an hour away), so you can visit and enjoy the city on weekends. -

Aide
The idea is for you to collaborate with us for about 5 hours a day. During this time, we will provide accommodation with all necessary amenities, including meals and a private room. If you wish, you can also fully immerse yourselves in Spanish to develop your language skills, though this is optional.
We will offer one free hour of instruction daily, Monday through Friday, using our immersive acceleration methodology focused on practicing simple structures, conditionals, and the subjunctive mood.
Additionally, participants will receive our complete digital accelerated Spanish immersion course at no cost. You can view the accelerated immersion course process via the free courses at relifespanish.com and tutoenglish.com.
Participation requires a minimum stay of one month; we prefer couples applying through Workaway.
Preferred native language: English (from the US, Canada, or the UK); all proficiency levels (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) are welcome.
1. Typical activities: video editing, audio recording, and review processes (don't worry, it is very easy to learn), as well as teaching English to our students, either online or in person. You will be able to learn Spanish while you work, which helps us teach others by example.
2. If you have practical experience in promoting and launching digital products, online classes, etc., please let us know and tell us more about your methods, as we are currently in the launch phase of our project.
We prefer couples, but if you're by yourself, that's ok too. -

Hébergement
We recently moved to the outskirts of the Bojaca town; it only takes five minutes to walk to the center. During their stay, the volunteers (a maximum of two people) will have a private room. As for meals, don't worry! We provide three meals a day. We do eat meat, but we can prepare vegetarian options for you if you prefer (though there will be meat in the house, as others will be eating it; therefore, this arrangement would not be suitable if you are looking for a completely meat-free household). Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate a gluten-free diet either.
We would like to have your help for approximately one month. -
Autres infos...
When you’re staying here you will also have the opportunity to explore different interesting places in the area for you will be able to go on hikes in the mountains and enjoy different emblematic areas of Bogota, the capital city of Colombia.
