Description
Hello - We moved to South West France 14 years ago now.
We live in an old farm house with 7 acres off meadow. There is a pond, pigeonnier and barns. The house sits within the beautiful, peaceful French landscape.
On going projects : vegetable garden, flower garden, and renovating the large roof space into more bedrooms.
We have two dogs, a cat and one chicken.
This part of France has many medieval bastide towns to visit .
It is always good to meet new people. Sharing work ,food, wine and conversation.
We can pickup from the local train station or airport ( Bergerac) . But having your transport ideal - then you will be able to explore independently .

We have varied help - from chopping wood, weeding garden areas, building stone walls to make a terrace, erecting fencing, mowing grass and general outdoor activities.

Within our home, a large double bedroom and a large shared family bathroom.

This is a beautiful rural area, with many medieval bastide villages nearby.
We have bikes and Wi-Fi available. Smoking ok as long as it is outside. We love food and wine and would enjoy introducing you to the local cuisine, at present we get most of our vegetables etc from our local market. We are aiming to grow as many fruits, vegetables and herbs as possible in the near future.
Our nearest airport is Bergerac (1 hour away), there are many low cost flights available from the UK. We could pick you up from the airport.
We would welcome people from any nationality and any age.

I spent a month with Anne and Fitz. Both of them are excellent cooks. During my time there, we did a lot of decluttering and put down new gravel in the courtyard. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the French countryside. Anne and Fitz took me to several nearby towns. Dot and Bibi (the dogs) are both wonderful pets. You could spend hours throwing a… read more

Saoirse was a great help during her one week stay here at Ramon.
Having great organizational skills - we cleared a large loft space - sorting fabrics and various things into different categories. Saoirse had a sensible approach and aided myself in clearing a space ready for a studio / workshop room to be developed in the loft of the house.

Boon shared winter with us.
Boon was a great help and was quick to learn . During his stay a large room was painted , boon tackled the high ceiling - it was a difficult job , and the end result was great.

Silvia is a lovely person, always happy with a smile.
While staying Silvia has completed lots of weeding , housework and cooking - all done to a high standard , she has an eye for detail!
Pizza night was a hit - great Italian cooking skills displayed.
I would recommend Silvia to share your home and the Workaway experience.

Ann & Fitz were very kind to me and made me feel very welcome. They are both excellent cooks and were willing to run me to the doctors and to the airport. Patrik is a lovely person, v. helpful and worked hard at all tasks which he was asked to do.
I would reccommend Patrik to any host. He is also a v. good salsa dancer!

Staying with Ann, Fitz and Lydia was lovely. They made me feel very welcome for the 10 days that I spent with them.
