Looking for a Friendly and Helpful Workawayer to Join Us This Summer in Sunny Spain
Hello!
We’re looking for a kind, responsible, and easygoing Workawayer to join us this summer to help around the house, take 2 large dogs (15-20 mins per dog) for walks while I focus on a large tech project. You will be in you own large penthouse with swimming pool. We live in a peaceful spot by the coast, and we’d love to welcome someone who enjoys the a calm peaceful life, and is happy to help with daily household tasks.
A Bit About Us:
I’ll be working full-time (around 8 hours a day) during the week, so I’m looking for someone who can lend a hand with the following:
Cooking and general house maintenance – mainly preparing lunch and dinner, and helping to clear up afterwards.
A good cook (or willing to learn!) who can help with meal prep and keep things tidy around the home.
Ideally someone who enjoys nature, creativity, and relaxed family life.
We’re based in a beautiful, quiet area, close to the beach, and you’ll have plenty of free time to explore, relax, or focus on your own projects.
I am in a wheelchair and need help around the home with cooking, cleaning and arranging. A driving license is essential as we will go to the market, shopping and beach walks. I have an automatice estate car but always park in spacious places for getting in and out with the wheelchair.This is a fully hosted position with food and accommodation for in return for 5 hours work a day Mon - Fri.
Age is not an issue.
The property is 500m2 which includes 3 apartments and a swimming pool and 2 large patios and is a 15-minute walk away from town.
My place is big and plenty of comfortable spaces for you to relax in in your spare time. We are in a great location the views are beautiful and sunrise is always stunning to watch, we are in the countryside with plenty of walks all around but we are also close to town. There is a mountain bike which you can use and the beach is a 10 minute ride. We have miles of beaches and coastal walks that are quiet and peaceful throughout the year.
We have a gym, swimming pool a covered outdoor terrace for dining. A lounge chill out area with all movies series etc in English and live tv from every country.
Whilst we do not drink alcohol, we are easy going and if you wish too that is fine but if you need to drink every night this is probably not the place for you.
We are close to a seaside resort so if a hazy beach summer/autumn with live music in the air, we have an air show on the beach here in September and sunset promenade walks is your thing get in contact with us.
We are situated a 15 minute walk from Torre del Mar where there is good bus connections to Malaga, Nerja, and Granada etc. There is also a bus stop at the bottom of our road which goes to Malaga. If you like to spend some time sightseeing we have Granada (1.5hr), Malaga (30mins), Marbella (1hour 45 mins), Ronda (2 hrs) Seville (3hrs), and Cordoba (1.5hrs) away by bus.
We are fully equipped with kitchen, dishwasher and bathrooms etc we also have a laundry room & washing machine we have high speed internet throughout the property.You also have tv on demand with lots of series, films etc in the common room and your bedroom.
I work as a web developer and work from early till late so you will have plenty of free time to enjoy the area. We eat a general Mediterranean low fat diet with a lot of salads, rice dishes but also like curries, soups and stews etc I don't drink or smoke but if you wish to feel free to smoke on the patio/terraces.

In the area where you'll be living, it's just my daughter and me, but there are two other parts of the house spread over three different floors where three more adults and a child live. We're a mix of professions—web designers, traders, builders, and veterinarians—and have been living in Spain for over 30 years, so we can offer you a complete insight into what it's like to live and work abroad as an expat. We have extensive local knowledge and are always happy to help. You'll have your own room. You'll be mostly on the ground floor, and meals will be spent with just me and the Workawayers. My brother lives with his family in another part of the property.
En la zona donde vivirás estamos solo mi hija y yo, pero hay otras dos partes de la casa distribuidas en tres plantas diferentes donde viven tres adultos más y un niño. Somos una mezcla de profesiones: diseñadores web, traders, constructor y veterinario, y llevamos más de 30 años viviendo en España, así que podemos ofrecerte una visión completa de cómo es vivir y trabajar en el extranjero como expatriado. Tenemos un amplio conocimiento local y siempre estamos dispuestos a ayudarte. Tendrás tu propia habitación. La mayoría del tiempo estarás en la planta baja y las comidas serán solo conmigo y los workawayers. Mi hermano vive con su familia en otra parte de la propiedad.

Aide
I'm wheelchair-bound and need help around the house with cooking, cleaning, and organizing. There are two areas of the house I don't have access to, and it would be great if you could help tidy and organize those areas as well. Some driving will be required, so you must be over 26 years old to be covered by our car insurance. This is a fully-hosted position, with food and lodging included, in exchange for 5 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday.
Estoy en silla de ruedas y necesito ayuda en casa con la cocina, la limpieza y la organización. Hay dos zonas de la casa a las que no tengo acceso, y sería genial si pudieras ayudar a ordenar y organizar esas áreas también. Se requerirá algo de conducción, por lo que debes tener más de 26 años para estar cubierto por el seguro de nuestro coche. Esta es una posición completamente acogida, con comida y alojamiento incluidos, a cambio de 5 horas de trabajo al día, de lunes a viernes.

We are a coastal town frequented mainly by Spaniards during the summer. Torre del Mar is a medium-sized town with a large shopping center that includes a cinema, as well as many restaurants and bars. It has an 8-km promenade, a bike path, and a running track next to the beach. We have two outdoor gyms by the sea, open to the public, and both mornings and afternoons are lively with people exercising. Malaga is just a 40-minute bus ride away, and there you can visit numerous castles, art museums, and historical sites. The climate here is one of the best in Spain, thanks to the protection of the mountain ranges behind Torre del Mar and the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea, which guarantees pleasant weather year-round.
Somos un pueblo costero frecuentado principalmente por españoles durante el verano. Torre del Mar es una localidad de tamaño medio con un gran centro comercial que incluye cine, además de muchos restaurantes y bares. Cuenta con un paseo marítimo de 8 km, carril bici y pista de running junto a la playa. Tenemos dos gimnasios al aire libre junto al mar, abiertos al público, y tanto por la mañana como por la tarde hay mucho ambiente con gente haciendo ejercicio. Málaga está a solo 40 minutos en autobús y allí puedes visitar numerosos castillos, museos de arte y lugares históricos. El clima aquí es uno de los mejores de España, gracias a la protección de las Sierras detrás de Torre del Mar y a la proximidad del mar Mediterráneo, lo que garantiza un clima agradable durante todo el año.

The place is located perfectly for all needs you might have after working - like MTK Boxinggym, Beaches, Grocery stores or the “Red Cloud Bar” which has got very good Jäger!
