  Description

  We are a small family: Franchesca, Leo, and our little daughter Lena. We live in a village of 35 people called Puerto Gaviota, located in Magdalena Island National Park. We are a family dedicated to artisanal fishing and we have a tourism project where we offer lodging, boat trips in traditional boats, hiking in the national park, and exploration of new places. We also share information about marine wildlife and the culture of our village. There is much to be done: new trails need to be opened to explore unknown areas, and roads and viewpoints need to be built. Dolphins and whales are commonly seen along the coast during the season, and many seabirds can be spotted year-round. We hope you enjoy boating because all the places are accessible by boat.
  
  Somos una pequeña familia Franchesca, Leo y la pequeña Lena, que vivimos en un pueblo de 35 personas llamado Puerto Gaviota, ubicado en el Parque Nacional Isla Magdalena, somos una familia que se dedica a la pesca artesanal y tenemos un proyecto de turismo, donde brindamos alojamiento, navegaciones en bote típico, senderismo en el parque nacional y exploramos lugares nuevos, enseñamos la fauna marina y la cultura de nuestro pueblo. Hay mucho por hacer, hay que abrir nuevos senderos para explorar lugares desconocidos, hay que construir caminos y miradores.En la costa es comun avistar delfines y ballenas en la temporada y también se avistan muchas aves marinas todo el año. Esperamos que te guste navegar porque a todos los lugares se llega en bote.

  We do many outdoor activities where you can learn about life in a remote location where all transportation is by boat. We enjoy exploring new places and fishing. We hope to learn about your culture and language.
  
  Hacemos muchas actividades en el exterior, donde podrás aprender la vida en una localidad aislada donde todo el transporte se realiza en bote, nos gusta explorar nuevos lugares y disfrutar de la pesca. Lo que esperamos es aprender de tu cultura y tu idioma.

  Aide

  We are looking for help with household chores such as storing firewood and tidying the house, as well as outdoor tasks like clearing trails in the forest and removing weeds. We will sail together to different parts of the island where we plan to build paths and viewpoints, and we will also explore new places. We also occasionally need help playing with our young daughter.
  
  Buscamos ayuda para labores de la casa como guardar leña, ordenar el hogar, y también labores en el exterior como abrir senderos en el bosque, quitar maleza, navegaremos juntos a distintos lugares de la isla donde queremos construir caminos y miradores, también exploraremos lugares nuevos. También en algunos momentos buscamos ayuda para jugar con nuestra pequeña hija.

  Hébergement

  My accommodation is a beachfront guesthouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We eat a lot and a wide variety of foods, cooking all kinds of meats and vegetables. We have three meals a day; breakfast and lunch are usually quite substantial, and dinner is lighter. We enjoy cooking, but we don't mind if you sometimes want to cook and share your culinary traditions with us. We eat a lot of fish and meat; we don't make vegetarian food. In Puerto Gaviota, there are stores that sell the basics, but they often don't offer a variety of vegetables, so we have to bring food from Puerto Cisnes on the ferry.
  
  Mi alojamiento es un hospedaje frente al mar, con todo lo que necesitas para tener una estadía cómoda, comemos bastante y muy variado, cocinamos todo tipo de carnes y vegetales.
  
  Hacemos tres comidas el día, el desayuno y el almuerzo suelen ser muy contundentes, y en la noche la comida es ligera, nos gusta cocinar, pero no nos molesta si a veces quieres cocinar para enseñarnos tu cultura gastrónomica. Consumimos mucho pescado y carne, no hacemos comida vegetariana. En Puerto Gaviota hay almacenes que venden lo básico y muchas veces no proporciona verduras variadas, por lo que debemos traer alimentos desde Puerto Cisnes en el ferry.

  In your free time, you can explore the national park's forest, fish, or kayak. Transportation to the island is only available twice a week via the Austral shipping company; you can purchase tickets on their website for Puerto Gaviota. We live a relaxed lifestyle but enjoy various activities such as home repairs and boat trips. Smoking and drinking are not permitted on the premises.
  
  En tu tiempo libre puedes recorrer el bosque del parque nacional, pescar o andar en kayak. El transporte a la isla no es diario es solo 2 veces por semana por la empresa naviera austral, puedes comprar el ticket en su página con destino a Puerto Gaviota. Tenemos una vida relajada pero hacemos diferentes actividades como reparaciones en la casa o salir a pasear en bote. En la casa no se puede fumar ni emborracharse.
