We stayed in Rensbo for about three and a half weeks in July 2025. First of all: we had a truly fantastic time! The house is wonderfully spacious, very well-equipped, and very quietly located on the edge of the picture-book village of Rensbo, which consists of perhaps just under 30 houses. … read more Swedish forests are everywhere, the nearest town with shops and restaurants (Hedemora) can be reached by car in about 10 minutes, and the nearest swimming lake in Pålsbenning is about a quarter of an hour away.
Maintaining the house and the garden was easy and could be done in 2-3 hours of daily work, especially because everything you need for house and garden care was perfectly available.
The animals were wonderful (especially the golden retriever, whom we still miss :-)), and their care and feeding gave us great joy.
And last but not least: Arjan and Anne-Marie were always available to help us (especially with the burst water pipe...) and are wonderfully friendly and truly relaxed hosts.
In conclusion: Housesitting in Rensbo was everything you imagine rural Sweden to be. If the weather is just right – which was also picture-perfect for us – it's simply an insider tip for the perfect stay in Sweden.
Dennys & Konstanze are a very nice couple and we were very happy to have them as housesitters. They looked out for our pets, one dog and four cats and the plants while we were on vacation. One day they discovered a water leakage through the ceiling in the bathroom and immediately contacted us since we had forgotten to instruct how to shut off the
… read more water. It was easy to communicate in English and they were very helpful to prepare the bathroom and remove some of the ceiling so the plumber could replace the broken pipe two days later. They had no running water in the house for two days which must have been inconvenient but never complained about it and wanted us to know they saw it as an adventure (there was water from the garden hose outside available). We were afraid we had to return home early from vacation due to this leakage but they made us feel comfortable about continuing our vacation and had everything under control which was very pleasant for us.
On return the garden looked great and even the carport was newly painted which we didn't expect at all and were very, very happy about!

Nelly and Erik took care of our pets (a dog and four cats), garden and house in three weeks while we were on holiday last summer. They did an excellent job. Every task we asked them for, was done. The pets looked very good and happy when we came home. They got lots of attention and love from Nelly and Erik. The garden looked great, the flowerbeds
… read more were free from weed, the gras was mowed and much more! The house was exactly in the same state as we had left it, like no one had been there 😊. And most of all, Erik and Nelly are a very friendly, social, creative. helpful and modest couple! They came a few days before we left and stayed a day after we came home, and we had some nice dinners and talks with them! So, in short, they really are perfect housesitters!Feedback
