    Description

We are a bilingual English/German speaking family ( New Zealand/Germany ) and living 70 km away from Berlin in a town called Fuerstenwalde.
We are a family of 5 ( mum & dad and 3 children 20 y, 17 y and 12 y ) with 1 cat ( Sharie ) and 1 dog ( TUI ). Our oldest daughter ( 20 ) is not living at home anymore, she comes to visit usually during the weekends.
You must like dogs and cats as these two are part of our family 😊
Due to Corona the last few years we haven’t had regular volunteers but starting back to welcoming volunteers from time to time as we think it’s a nice experience for everyone.

We have a nice house with a small garden in a peaceful Neighborhood.

We are looking for an independent, happy, friendly, tidy and helpful female volunteer ( over 20 years old ) to help around the house and garden.
Your work will include some light housework, cooking, help with the washing, preparing food and sometimes doing activities with the kids .

Mum is a Flightattendant and is away a few days a month.
But while she is home you will have extra days free for yourself to explore the area, do German classes, learn more about the culture or whatever interest you.

So more than anything we are looking for someone who is kind and patient and who'll enjoy being part of a busy and fun family and loves being around a family and pets.
We used to have Volunteers while living in New Zealand for almost 9 years and have been really enjoying the company from all over the world. It's a great opportunity for us as a family to learn about life and culture in different places around the world.
If you can cook us your favorite national dish and teach us the recipe we will be delighted.

    Non - smokers please
We would like to chat via whatsapp call, Zoom or skype before you arrive so we can “ meet” beforehand:)

In your free time you can visit Berlin and surroundings. Your working hours are flexible, so if you plan to attend German courses we can work around these hours. The main hours of help required would be Mo-Fr morning and you have time for yourself in the afternoon s and in the weekends.
Note: The hours of help are very flexible but we are not hosting for cheap accommodation, you need to be able to help around 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday as this is a exchange and not couch surfing 😉
