Lorna stayed with us and worked on our property for a month. In that time, Lorna showed great work ethics, used initiative and integrity. She worked along side my husband but mostly worked independently.
Once shown how you wanted the job done, she tackled task with great gusto. Lorna gave 110%. to everthing she did wheather it was picking
… read more vegetables, gardening or chores in the home. She has a jovial and positive personality. Lorna made our life so much easier during her stay.
Do not hesitate to give Lorna a go as you will not regret your decision.

Nadia stayed with us for 10 days and in those 10 days Nadia helped me tremendously.
Nadia is polite,kind hearted, thoughtful and used her intuitive. All the chores she did were done well.
Nasia's english is perfect (with the French accent. 😅) I loved having Nadia around and I will miss all our deep and meaningful conversations.

Tim stayed with us for about 3 weeks, in that time we found Tim to be easy going, very polite, a good communicator and a good worker. Tom assisted my husband with heavy lifting of cabinetry, painting, gardening and some household chores. Assisted my preparing the evening meals which was really nice. Tim easily fitted into my family. Pepi misses

It was a great pleasure to live with Emilio and Gina for 3 weeks. They were always friendly and I enjoyed talking to them. There were never any communication problems and I learned a lot about Australia.
Other highlights were the pizza evenings, where Emilio baked the pizzas and bread himself. It was absolutely delicious!
I also really liked that
… read more the work I was asked to do was very diverse. This mainly included gardening, housework and painting, although the work was always relaxed.
Emilio and Gina showed me the highlights of their region, for which I am very grateful, and always included me when they invited guests.

Sofia and Sam stayed with us for 3 weeks. They are an easy going , friendly, trust worthy and supa helpfull. The tasks that were done for us were physically demanding and it was done with a smile.
The cleaning of the outside of our house, weeding of the gardens and the removal of some gravel and some rocks.
The couple did encounter some bad luck

My boyfriend Sam and myself (Sophia), we're welcomed into Gina and Emilios home with warmth. The work needed completing was quite hard work (outdoor cleaning of the house, de-weeding & scrubbing the pond, moving rocks etc.), however we're a pretty hardy couple and didn't mind, and both were very understanding of the tropical heat on our behalf,
… read more ensuring we took regular breaks and kept us very well supplied with delicious coffee and home cooked Italian food. We enjoyed lovely family style dinner times all together around the table and shared stories.
Gina, Emilio and their lovely family in Mareeba were our saviours after finding we had bought a dodgy vehicle. They helped us onto the right path and we are forever grateful for their support during this really difficult time when being new to the country. Our time spent with them was so memorable and fantastic for our first ever "WorkAway".
I learnt lots about gardening, the delicious taste of Zuchinni flowers and how to cook with these with Gina, whilst Sam experienced the world of cabinet fitting alongside Emilio (who also very kindly gave us lots of advice on our vehicle we initially wanted to convert).
We loved spending time with their dogs Pepi and Benson, and the beautiful cats Jet and Lily too. Gina and Emilio were very kind too in taking us too Mareeba's Italian Night at the local town hall for a cultural community evening together.

Remembering the days I spent in Australia, we can made wonderful dishes with the recipe Gina taught us. Lena stayed with us for almost 2 weeks and I found Lena to be an absulute joy to have around. Easy going, a positive person and always happy. Uses her initiative and gets the job done well. Emilio and Gina are very warm people and absolutely loving! They have a wonderful house and do everything to make you feel very comfortable during your stay. It was a pleasure hosting Dylan, she has a gentle and easy going persona and nothing was too much trouble for her. Dylan stayed with us for approx. 2 weeks and in that time her main task was the gardening, weeding which was completed perfectly with a smile😊
