Description
My name is Amy and I work coordinating a toy library in the inner city. I live by myself in a self contained flat at the back of my bigger house. I can accommodate workawayers in the bigger house while I am fixing it up.
I don't eat meat and I like to live with a low environmental impact.
My house is only about 8kms from the city centre and we are very close to public transport. The tram that runs past our house travels through Fitzroy to the city.

Travellers will learn about how we live in the inner north of Melbourne.
They will gain insight into the everyday happenings of our life and may learn some things about chickens and gardens if they are so inclined.
They can learn about Melbourne’s art and cultural experiences from people who live here.
Aide
We will be repainting some internal walls, and there is always gardening and cleaning to be done. We would not expect more than a few of hours a day help and you would be free to go off and explore Melbourne or relax here at home the rest of the time. We live near good cafes and are very close to the Merri Creek.
We need people who are self motivated and are not afraid of messy work, especially cleaning, gardening and painting. The help will be a lot of independent tasks so would probably be best suited to a couple so that you have company while working.
Must be queer friendly.
We typically host workawayers for up to two weeks at a time but can be flexible if it’s working well.

We use bikes to get around and we don't own a car.

I really enjoyed staying with Amy, Rachel and the children. They made me feel so welcome and relaxed. They made sure I had everything I needed and were very supportive. Franzi is a great workawayer. She is responsible and friendly and works hard at the jobs she is given. She is equally relaxed with the adults and the kids and seems to be more than capable in all situations.

Amy, Rachel & their family are great! They are very generous people, always helping you out and giving tips for stuff to do in Melbourne. I totally enjoyed spending time with them, playing catan or just talk and have a nice dinner together.
