I spent three wonderful weeks with Bre, Mike, Everly and Sloan this spring. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and treated like a true member of the family. My days were filled with a variety of tasks : caring for the animals (horses, pigs, chickens, cats, and dog), tending the garden, helping around the house, collecting eggs and more,
… read more all in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
I was especially grateful for the trust they placed in me when they asked me to look after the farm while they were away. It was a deeply enriching and empowering experience.
The children are little sunshines (!!!) :) full of energy, creativity and always ready to teach you a new game (I’m convinced there are two future pro players in the family!). They kindly took the time to share their world with me and I had the chance to meet their wonderful extended family and friends.
I will always be thankful for the memories we created together, Alberta now holds a special place in my heart because of them. Thank you again for all the thoughtful gifts and for celebrating another year of life with me. I truly hope our paths cross again, whether in Alberta or in France. We had the pleasure of hosting Alice for a few weeks in May and June. Alice was a wonderful addition to our family, and we will always be grateful for her help. She was trusted to farm sit for five days while we were away, taking care of our horses, pigs, chickens, cats and dog and she did an amazing job. She was very thorough with any jobs we
… read more gave her, and always did them with a smile on her face. She is a master at weeding and has great attention to detail. More importantly, Alice was very patient and kind with our children, always willing to play a game of soccer or mini sticks. I also appreciated her help in the house, keeping things tidy and collecting and washing eggs. It was a pleasure to have her, and we would gladly welcome her back anytime.

I stayed with Bre, Mike, their awesome children and beautiful animals back in May and it is memories I will cherish forever. They made me feel so welcome and looked after. The work was super fair and always made sure we were happy with our tasks. Bre trusted me to help with the farrier and ride her horse bareback, experiences I really appreciated.

Ellie stayed with us for a few weeks in the summer of 2023. She was respectful of our home and kept her space neat and tidy and was willing to help out with clean up after dinner and throughout the day. She loved spending time in the garden and was a very efficient weed picker! Ellie was very helpful with our horses and could be trusted to feed
… read more and care for them, and handle them for farrier appointments while we were away. Our kids absolutely adored Ellie and she was happy to spend time with them playing, riding and jumping on the trampoline. Ellie is also a very talented artist and we adored the cards and pictures she left for us to enjoy. We absolutely loved having her as part of our family and we would welcome her back anytime. We wish you all the best wherever your travels take you next!

We so enjoyed having Pauline & Elena stay with our family for two weeks. They each worked very hard weeding our gardens, staining our deck and were happy to do any odd job we gave to them. We enjoyed their delicious cooking, and it was fun to experiment with vegetarian dishes. Our kids adored them and they were always happy to play games with them

My girlfriend and me stayed with Bre & Mike for two weeks during our roadtrip and had a wonderful time with them! We are really happy to have met these two welcoming and kind people and felt right away like part of the family. Their kids are awesome and always ready to suprise you with funny games.

Michael was a wonderful addition to our family for two weeks. He worked very hard weeding our gardens, cutting down burdock, moving hay and cleaning out animal pens and shelters. We also left him for two days on his own and he took care of the farm and all of the animals. He was happy to do any tasks we asked and always with a smile on his face.
