Hello dear hosts and fellow travellers!

My name is Yolanda :)

I'm originally from Leipzig in Germany but study in Vienna right now.
I speak German (native speaker) and English fluently and also a bit of Italian.
In my freetime I read a lot, cook & bake frequently, ride my bike or roadbike, go hiking, camping and running. I love meeting friends and family as well. And beeing outside genuinely makes me happy.
I am passionate about living a more sustainable life because I just like the earth. I generally don't go by plane within Europe for instance.

In 2022 I worked as a ''nanny'' for a family in southern Italy where I had a lovely time. That was my first experience with workaway. This year I'd like to work in other areas as well like on a farm (getting my hands dirty is so satisfying and I like seeing results of the work after a short time), in a hostel (I had such a good time in a workawayer-run napoletan hostel!) for an NGO or even on a (sailing) boat. (Even though I haven't got any sailing experiences whatsoever… but I want to give it a try!)

I'm open for every kind of work/ stay/ culture and always want to learn more and something completely different. I also love to meet new people and their life-stories, that's always sooo interesting and inspiring!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked in the tourism branch/ environmental education (at Jasmund Nationalpark) for one year. I therefore have experiences in working with guests and kids of all ages. I also worked there as a tour guide and have some knowledge about natural sciences now.
I've worked as a babysitter (for young kids) as well.
I cook and bake frequently and have some knowledge about kitchen stuff since I'am a vegetarian and used to be a vegan.
I regularly help my grandparents/ parents in the garden and house-maintenance.

I would say I'm highly communicative (I love talking), organized and determined.
But above all I'm curious to learn and open-minded to do new & different tasks!
I think there is always work I could do for you! :)
