Hi there! My name is Yuqi and I'm currently an undergraduate studying economics, mathematics and philosophy at Columbia University in the U.S. I'm originally from China and I enjoy traveling and meeting people around the world. I spent 4 years in Singapore for high school before coming to the US. I have been to more than 20 countries on five continents and I'm looking forward to expanding that list! I love engaging in deep conversations and learning about the world, so the diverse perspectives from traveling provide me with exactly these benefits :)

I am bilingual in Chinese and English. If you need any help with either language, I'll be more than glad to help! I'm also a quick learner. I pick up skills easily and I'm always happy to learn something new. I've been tutoring economics, math and English for quite some time so I'm a good tutor. I also get along with kids well. I have some homestay experience taking care of a 7-year-old in Ecuador two years ago. I have been involved in several community projects with children in the past, too. At the moment I'm planning to improve my Spanish. I've been learning it for four years and have a DELE B2 certificate, but it's been a while since I took any Spanish classes so I'm trying to pick it up. I visited Spain in March and I had so much fun there, so I hope to go back and explore the country a bit more this coming August.

I can help teach English and Chinese. I can also help with housework like cleaning and cooking. Playing with kids is fun and I enjoy it very much. Learning other skills would be cool too!
