Description
Hello! I'm thrilled to join the Workaway community. My name is Ximena Paz, and I'm a plastic artist and writer. I currently teach painting at a university and have been an art instructor in private lessons and schools for the last five years. I'm also a proud mother of two beautiful girls, although I'll be traveling solo this time around.
Art and nature are my greatest inspirations. I studied sustainable tourism, and much of my artwork reflects our deep connection to the natural world. I often use recycled materials in my creations to promote sustainability. I've hosted volunteers and have volunteered myself alongside my family and dog, but on this occasion, I look forward to volunteering solo.
I run a project named Entropía, which is my art studio and a beautiful space where I guide workshops and host meet-ups to discuss various topics. While I'm agnostic, I have a keen interest in spirituality and religion.
I love cooking and taking care of people. I'm friendly, mostly an extrovert, but I do need some alone time to recharge occasionally. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques. I love being outdoors, but I also appreciate the vibrancy of city life.
Life is an adventure, and I'm excited to expand my horizons through new experiences and connections. Looking forward to meeting you and contributing to your projects!

I believe that language shapes our reality, and learning different languages helps broaden our perception of the world. I enjoy learning languages for fun and have been fortunate enough to share my native language, Spanish, with others. I would love to continue doing so

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Artistic Skills: I specialize in painting and collage, often using recycled materials to create. I have experience in mural painting and can bring a creative touch to any project. I have also been experimenting with installation art and would LOVE to experiment with some land art.
Teaching and Workshop Facilitation: it can be both on art skills or teaching my mother language (Spanish).
Sustainable Practices: composting, animal care, repurposing materials, bioconstruction, gardening, permaculture
Cooking and Hospitality: I enjoy cooking and have a knack for taking care of people. I can prepare meals and provide a warm, welcoming environment for others.
Volunteer Experience: Having hosted and volunteered alongside my family and dog, I am familiar with the dynamics of volunteer work. I am adaptable, reliable, and eager to contribute to various projects.
Outdoor and Physical Work: I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty and enjoy physical activities.
Interpersonal Skills: As a friendly and mostly extroverted person, I excel at connecting with others and fostering a collaborative and positive atmosphere. I am also capable of working independently and appreciate the balance between social interactions and personal time.
Photography and Social Media: I have skills in photography, which I use to document my art projects and nature. I can assist in capturing high-quality images for various purposes, including social media.
