Hey, my name's Samuel, I'm a student of mountain geography and recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and geopolitics. I'm from Marseille, where I like to go for walks in the Calanques massif or just along the beach with friends. I'm planning to spend 1 year in Canada to take a break from my schooling and get back on track with my next studies, armed with new practical experiences and human discoveries.
One of my goals is to perfect my English, but I'm also very excited by the idea of experiencing new adventures and meeting new people as I explore this beautiful country. I can't wait to test my limits in a country I don't know and question my professional future and personal aspirations. I believe that travel is inseparable from this kind of reflection.
For me, traveling to a country without immersing myself in the daily life of the people and sharing local lifestyles is pointless, which is why I'm also planning to do a lot of voluntary work in the environment, social work and so on. I read and write a lot, I enjoy listening to music, drawing and using my hands to create, I love hiking and sports, whether collective or individual. I do a lot of mountaineering and I love reading, especially adventure stories.

People say I'm dynamic, cheerful, funny and hard-working when I set out to do something.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've done a lot of hiking and trekking over several days, as well as a little mountaineering, so I have a lot of experience in the mountains. During my childhood I was part of a soccer club, a capoera club, a judo club and I've been climbing for 4 years. My family owns a chalet in the French Alps and we used to go there every winter, so I've achieved a very good level of piste skiing and ski touring.

On the work side, I spent 1 month working on a farm, touching on just about everything, picking, tinkering and so on. I've also done a lot of baby sit-ins in the last few years thanks to my neighbors, and I have experience in catering thanks to my uncle who runs a restaurant.

I also studied mathematics and geopolitical history during my schooling and I'm now at a university teaching geography and mountain planning.
