Hi, I'm Volkan. I'm excited about joining this platform and experiencing new things. Making new friends and discovering new cultures is important to me. I love spending time in nature, trying new things, developing new hobbies, and creating. I think this platform will help me improve my English and connect with people who share my interests and skills.

I'm passionate about leatherwork and I create wallets, belts, bags, and other accessories. I do this more as a hobby and haven't turned it into a business yet. I have an olive grove and I take care of all the trees myself, including pruning them. I can mow the grass and weeds using machines. My main profession is teaching Turkish, and I'm about to finish my doctorate in this field. I think I get along well with children and I enjoy doing drama activities. I haven't volunteered for social responsibility projects, but I volunteered as a youth camp leader and drama instructor for a long time at the Turkish Red Crescent.

I am a shadow puppet artist, a traditional Turkish theater art. I perform Hacivat and Karagöz shows. I can use office programs and edit videos. I can do simple repairs around the house and garden. I'm not picky about food, I'm open to new things. Minimal comfort is enough for accommodation, of course, I don't have high expectations. One of my goals is to visit historical and touristic places and cities around the places I go to. I will be traveling around according to the working conditions. I had the opportunity to spend time with 18-24 year olds from different cultures and nationalities at international youth camps and I didn't have any language problems.
Last year, our 10-day Harry Potter themed trip with my 12-year-old Potterhead daughter was also great.
She is now 12 years old, and I’m planning to carry out my Workaway plans with her. With her fluent English and adaptable nature, she will be a great travel companion for all of us!

If necessary, we can have pre-meetings online, I would be happy to meet you and spend a month with you.
