Hi, I‘m Vera and I‘m planning on travelling outside of Europe for the first time and let a long dream come true. I got to know the idea of workaway from a friend of mine and decided, that this would also be a thing for me, as I‘m really interested in getting to know new people, cultures, food, countrys and thereby improve my language skills. Australia and New Zealand are on top of my bucket list, but I‘m also open to travel to other parts of the world. I‘m a really flexible and uncomplicated person, I eat (almost) everything or at least try. I love to be in nature and with all kind of animals, therefore I‘d preferably would like to work with them, but also working in the garden or other maintainance work I‘m ready to do. In my free time I love to read books, do sports (hiking, swimming, yoga etc.) or meet with friends. I‘m looking forward to start traveling parts of the world soon.

Languages were always my strengh at school and I enjoyed learning new ones, but was also very good in my mother tongue in school. Therefore I speak German, English and a little bit of French and Spanish. Learning and improving my language skills is one of my goals by travelling. I don‘t have much experience in teaching languages, but I‘m sure some basics in German an English I would be able to teach.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I went in a school, where we also had cooking as a subject, so cooking and baking is no problem for me. My favourite subjects in school where always languages, therefore besides German as my mother tongue I speak English and had also French and Spanish in school.
After school I studied Pharmacy and became a Pharmacist as I was also really interested in health and natural sciences. Not long ago I finished my studies and since then worked in a Pharmacy.
Working in the garden and with animals would be my favourite tasks to do, but I can also help with other things as I learn fast and can adapt very well.

I like to play board games or cards with friends and family, as this brings people together and getting to know new good games is always fun.
Music is also a thing for me, long ago I learned to play the piano and the guitar, but both I would have to practice again, as in my study times I did‘t have had much time to do, but listening to music or singing belong to my favourite activities.
Reading books or just being in nature by hiking or swimming means much to me.
