Hi! My name is Trisha. I'm a Chinese-Indian Singaporean and have grown up in Singapore, with occasional visits to Rajasthan, India.

I am by no means an adventurous person but I am in search of an adventure to test my limits and help me understand myself better. I want to expose myself to different situations, different people and different cultures to broaden my understanding of the world.

I'm planning to explore Asia, specifically South East Asia + South Asia because it is close to home, but somehow I've only experienced the tourist version of it. I want to understand my region more, beyond what the news or Instagram might portray.

My hobbies include: surfing the web (unfortunately), basic photography, gardening and reading. I love anime. I am quite introverted but some call me a functional extrovert. I am currently interested in learning as many languages as possible. I'd love to pick up a few phrases here and there.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am fluent in English and proficient in Chinese (Mandarin). I am currently taking a gap year from my degree in Law and exploring my options. My law background has equipped me with strong presentation skills and experience in working in groups.

As a student, I volunteered with local beach cleanup groups (@SGBeachWarriors on Instagram), where I communicated with various stakeholders - such as trash collection companies, groups of volunteers and catering companies to procure free trash bags - to organise the cleanups. This role allowed me to collaborate effectively in teams and developed my event planning skills.

I also volunteered with a community-led tuition group (@smartguppy on Instagram) which gave free tuition to underprivileged children. There, I tutored two children aged 7 and 9 in English, Math, and Science. Additionally, I helped create and edit graphics, polls and written posts to promote the initiative online. I am proficient in graphic design and often use Canva to create marketing material for the projects I volunteered with. I often use AI tools like Claude AI and Chatgpt to streamline and check content to ensure that the final product is satisfactory.

Before university, I part-timed in various restaurants and cafes. As a result I have experience in performing a variety of chores like cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors and maintaining a tidy environment. I also have some experience in navigating conflicts and diffusing tense situations.

I also picked up hydroponics before university (sadly this is a hobby I have not engaged with in a while). I set up an extremely basic hydroponics system at home with a glass jar, a netpot, some liquid fertilisers and rockwool. I successfully grew 1 stalk of bak choy - sadly the yield was not good. I have successfully grown chilies, tomatoes, basil and mint in soil at home, although I am by no means an expert farmer.
