In general am a very adaptable outdoorsy individual.
As my background I have a bachelors degree in Biology and thus have a keen interest in ecology/sustainability and clean living.
Most recently I have been working as a snowboard instructor and cook at two ski resorts just outside of banff.
I am very comfortable doing gardening/landscaping/planting/vegetable planting and harvesting.
In addition I am happy doing general maintenance work, as I have previously acted as a carpenters assistant and have a good practical ability - with woodwork, painting and bike maintenance.
I have also worked as a camp counsellor, looking after and teaching children canoeing and kayaking.

His attitude was always very positive, he was always on time for his shifts, and he always brought solutions when fixing things around the hostel. A great atmosphere about this place, super friendly and easy to make adventure buddies. Fantastic place to make your base for many nearby outdoor adventures with many like minded volunteers. Good communication regarding hours expected, schedule and work. Living in a hostel is very social and can be full on but well worth it.

Fantastic place to hang out for a couple of weeks and help with house renovation. Gabriela cooks very well and is very generous with her space. Martin and his surrounding family and friends are great people, very generous and kind.

Outstanding place to stay, and hang out. You'll be taken in as one of the family, and treated as such, which is really nice.

Great stay at Dawn and Mo's place! Lovely little place in a beautiful location on a small farm, interesting work looking after and learning about the animals, and doing a few odd jobs to help out about the garden which I really enjoyed! You'll be treated super fairly, have your own little room and be really well fed!

Susan and Doug's place is beautiful - a small farm surrounded by the countryside. We really enjoyed our stay here; especially because they are so easygoing! Susan and Doug were very fair with the workload and very generous when it came to food - which we really appreciated.

Tod and Anna were excellent Workaways. They both worked hard on the many chores around the farm. They were awesome at picking strawberries, bringing in bowl after bowl which we then froze. Anna delighted us with Czech meals and even made a strawberry rhubarb cake. Tod made strawberry ice cream- mmmm. They learned some new skills with us such as… read more
