Hello, my name is Tina! I’m a 22 year old university graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I’m a creative and always try to see the beauty in everything. In my free time you'll find me at the movie theatre, at the local creek, and reading! I'm friendly and love to laugh :)

All my life I’ve yearned to travel and experience something different in my life. As an only child, I’ve grown to become extremely independent and self sufficient. I spend a lot of my life alone, going on solo adventures within my city, but I’ve yet to take the leap and go solo across the sea! With so much time spent alone also comes the desire to be with others, make friends, and be apart of a community. As I’ve grown into an adult, I’ve found myself becoming more adventurous, more curious, and more excited to live life. I now understand that the world is my oyster and I can do anything I put my mind to. Hence, when I found Workaway, I was inspired and knew it was something that I must do.

Last year, I went on a three week trip to Ireland and Portugal with my family and it was an incredible experience. It was my first time in Europe, and my families first REAL adventure. For the first time I wasn’t just vacationing to a tropical resort and relaxing all day. My father’s cousin lives in Ireland and was an excellent host. We drove around practically all of Ireland and explored the eastern coasts all the way to the bright city of Dublin. I became so immersed in being apart of this new country and culture and I knew I never wanted this feeling to end.

I have been dreaming of going to Italy for 6 years now. It’s beauty and culture inspire me so much and I could ask nothing more than to be apart of it. I’ve been trying to learn Italian for a couple years now but never fully got myself past the beginner stages. Being immersed in Italian culture and language would be an excellent way for me to properly learn some Italian and I’d love to share my English (and Persian!) language as well.

I adore being in nature and around bodies of water. In my suburban hometown, I spend my free time walking through the forest and sitting by the local creek, just listening to the sound of the water and grounding myself. While I also love being in nature, another side of me also loves being in the city, surrounded by people and vibrant life. I see the best in both worlds.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve been working a retail customer service job for 4 years and it has changed the kind of person I am. I’m much more confident interacting with strangers (to some extent), and have become more of a “people person." I understand everybody is unique, has different needs to make them happy, and I’m able to adapt myself to fit anybodies needs. On a practical level, I’m extremely detail oriented, highly adaptable to new things, and take care of the spaces I occupy with care and respect. I value initiative greatly and you can count on me to exhibit it.

Last summer, I did an internship at a commercial editing company and what it involved truly surprised me. There was a massive importance and role in client care and hospitality and I spent most of my time preparing food and providing service to the clients that would visit. I’d always take initiative to clean around the office and take care of the dishes without anybody asking.

I’m reliable and always willing to learn new things and I can provide help in many ways. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and love to be active.

In April 2025, I was a live-in house and pet sitter for my friend, taking care of her 2 cats. This was an new experience for me and I learned so much about being responsible for another life and took care of the house with a lot of care. I fell into a routine, feeding them and playing with them 3 times a day and spent the rest of my time taking care of the house, doing random organization projects, and making sure there was never a mess. Though this is an experience related to animals specifically, I feel that the same energy can be passed onto taking care of children as well. Children are complex, need nurturing, and positive experiences and I’d be happy to provide that!
