Welcome to my profile, I hope you find some matches.

My name is Tina. I am 57 years old and from Hamburg, Germany.

I got married to Matti in 1999, we travelled to Uzbekistan for honeymoon to discover the Silk Road on our own. Since then, I’ve travelled a lot around the world, particularly through South and Middle America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Columbia, Bolivia, Mexico), Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia), and Arabic countries like Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan.

Travelling and being in contact with people of all ages, animals, and nature means a lot more to me than belongings and clothes.

Here we go with some more of my passions: I love
• laughing a lot (and I can absolutely laugh at myself as well),
• being outside as often as possible (one of my happy places is my veggie garden),
• cycling with my trekking bike FAXE (for example, along the former inner-German border alone for more than 1.000 kilometers),
• creative cooking (mostly vegetarian dishes),
• writing my Bullet Journal (because I haven’t yet had the courage to write my first book…),
• Yoga (enthusiastic rookie for 10 years),
• knitting socks (taught myself from YouTube Videos during Covid19),
• learning new stuff (for instance, how to drive a forklift last spring),
• as well as other motorized vehicles (earned my driver’s licence for cars and motorcycles at 18).

In 2024 I will take a year off (brave, brave, I know) to experience more of what I don’t know yet. I want to
• visit an African country for the first time (as a tourist together with Majd, a friend),
• help out on an Irish sheep farm (as a workawayer),
• and assist the staff on a husky farm in Sweden (as a workawayer),
• do a volunteer job at an elementary school in Santiago de Chile (together with Matti as a workawayer),
• cross the Alps by bike (on my own as a tourist with FAXE),
• write a book (finally, maybe as a workawayer somewhere),
• look for a new job in the winter of 2024.

What else? My favorite words in German are “Bagaluten” and “Spendierhose”. I’ll try to explain them to you, when we meet each other.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied Economics with an emphasis on Marketing and Communication. Both marketing and communications have played a major role in my life, both professionally and privately. I truly enjoy sharing my passions with others, as well as connecting with people through shared laughs and working and spending time together.

I don’t have any workaway experiences, but I
• worked for a motorcycle shop, in a bar/restaurant, and for industrial fairs as a student,
• Volunteered as a German teacher for children from different countries when I was a student,
• set up an NGO for children in Germany and took care of volunteers (professionally),
• do voluntary work for an elementary school reading project in my neighborhood,
• was involved as a group head in the vaccination center for Covid19, in addition to my main job
• am an easy-going person overall, who strives toward life-long learning.
