Description

Hi my name is Timothy! I am a 24 year-old from the United States with plans to start law school in the fall of 2025. I love seeing live music, enjoying good food, cooking, playing the guitar, and, most of all, traveling! I I am fascinated with the infinite different ways humans all over the world choose to live their lives. This past summer, I enjoyed backpacking in Japan and Thailand and it was the most wonderful experience of my life.

I want to experience as many new, unfamiliar things as I possibly can. I thrive when I am outside my comfort zone and meeting new people. Workaway represents an opportunity to immerse myself in another way of life that is completely foreign to me, which I think would help me grow as a person. I believe that sharing meals and working together with a host family allows one to learn more about other countries in ways that typical means of travel simply cannot. I hope to share stories and experiences and bring my unique perspective anywhere I go. I am no stranger to hard work and will give 100% effort wherever I go!

Most of all, I am looking forward to trying the many delicious and varied cuisines that each country can provide :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience doing manual labor through helping my father on various construction jobs! I also can cook, clean, write, and hold a (somewhat) interesting conversation! Most of all, I can learn without having to be told twice and don't shy away from hard work.

I love playing chess, learning new recipes, reading classic books. I love a well-made cup of coffee. I enjoy rock and roll music and learning my favorite songs on guitar. I also enjoy walks in nature and sharing good food with people.
I recently took a trip to Japan and Thailand in the summer of 2024. There, I travelled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and more! I enjoyed delicious food and beverage and met so many people from all around the world. I also was able to practice my Japanese language speaking skills, which I am studying every day.
