Hey! My name is Myk

I enjoy working with my hands, I have been a landscaper for the last three years. I have picked up lots of skills landscaping and would call myself a handy person. I might not have all the experience, but I am a fast and attentive learner.

I worked at a standardbred breeding farm in 2018-2019. I am comfortable working with foals, weanlings, broodmares, and stallions. My favourite part was foaling-out, being there for the first breaths of life.

Horses! I have rode mainly english consistently from ages 6-19, owning two horses in that time, and now I visit a nearby barn whenever I can. (I have worked for the barn I ride at and can provide a reference from them if desired)
I prefer western riding currently, and would be thrilled to learn about cattle handling/western games. But I am also more than happy for a trail ride and interesting conversation.

I traveled to Australia in 2019-2021 and did a varied number of jobs; from kitchen staff at a small town pub, grain evaluator, to oyster farming.

Ideally I'm looking to be a ranch hand for the spring/summer of this year. I am self-motivated and have no problem keeping busy. I am thorough, diligent, and clean, and handle stressful situations and think on my feet.

I enjoy all kinds of animals, from cats to horses, cows, dogs, anything I can pet will be my friend.

I am looking to meet new people, share in life experience, learn from each other.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been a landscaper for three years; working with pavers, all kinds of plants/trees, and my favourite, machinery. I really enjoy learning new skills which make me a handy and equipped person. I am not afraid of hard work, and know that sometimes you've just gotta get it done!

Working on a standardbred-breeding farm was very rewarding for me. From mucking stalls, to feeding, to helping a mare foal, I learned a lot about what it is to own a big-time horse operation. My favourite time was working with the yearlings (although challenging at times) and helping mares foal.
