Hi there! I’m Jess, I am originally from the States (Texas), and my partner, Shaun, is from Wales. Right now it's just me (Jess)!

I'm a musician and I play guitar, piano, clarinet, and write my own songs. I am also extremely interested in dance, specifically open floor, 5 rhythms, and ecstatic dances.

Additionally, I'm very interested in philosophy, psychology, and understanding the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. I just started learning chess as well.

Professionally, I am a creative business strategist and project manager.

Travel, to me, is about expanding my perspective, embracing growth, and contributing meaningfully. I'm not afraid of hard work and am detailed oriented, thoughtful, flexible, and put my all into everything I do!

I'd really like to learn more about self-sufficiency, building, and gardening.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I absolutely love organizing, whether that be physically in tidying up areas, or more abstractly with ideas. Professionally, I'm a creative project manager and I help artists and creative entrepreneurs turn ideas into clear direction, structured systems, and workable plans that actually move forward.

I also have experience with gardening, kitchen prep, and housekeeping through WWOOFing.

Some of my experience includes:
- Chef's assistant at Yashodhara Ashram and Mana Retreat Center
- Nannying in Auckland with a 1 year old
- Housesitting/ pet sitting in B.C. and Hamilton
- Helped on a reforestation project in Tauranga
- Sign painting and chalkboard writing
- Weed whacking and lawn mowing
- Weeding, planting, and harvesting in the garden
- Deep cleaning and organization
- Wood splitting
- Stacking firewood
- Transplanting a medium/large plant from pot to garden
- Housekeeping (cleaning bathrooms, making beds)
- Director of operations for a women's photography organization in Toronto

I am keen to learn more about building and gardening. I'm interested to use more tools and learn more skills!

I am a big fan of scenic hikes and exploring new places. I have recently been walking between 10,000-20,000 steps per day! I'm very keen to learn how to fish, build, or really any new skill! I love playing guitar and piano as well so would be excited if there were some instruments around.
