Description

I have been looking for ways to volunteer in different countries when I came across workaway. I have already been to a smaller city in India for three months in the beginning of 2024, having had a scholarship from Rotary where i worked at a cow shed and stayed with a host family. Currently I am in Bialystok, Poland supported by the European Solidarity Corps and working at a primary school. Since my experience in India was so beautiful and enabled me to grow and widen my horizone so much, I am eager to meet new people and learn from them. My time in India and also my time in Poland right now made me realize how privileged I am and encouraged me to help others in need while also giving me the opportunity to travel the world.
I am beyond thankful for the opportunity and experiences I was already given and am very eager to see even more from the world and continue to grow as a person.

I have been teaching English and German to the polish children at the school I was working at. I am also very interested to learn new languages, such as spanish or portuguese; I managed to also learn a small amount of Hindi during my exchange in India.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Due to my exchange in India and Poland I have already been faced with a lot of challenges regarding living and working in other cultures and societies or dealing with not understanding the spoken language.
At home I have also gathered a lot of experience in different work fields such as animal care (3-month internship at the Berlin animal shelter), teaching and work with kids, bartending at theaters, working in restaurant kitchens and in service/gastronomy.
Apart from that, I am a very empathetic, hearty and caring person. I genuinely enjoy working with people and especially animals and being of help and comfort to them. I am always eager to learn, to get to know new people and to experience life and culture in different countries. Arts are one of my greatest passions so I paint and draw a lot. I also love cooking and am very interested in psychology, sociology and history.
