Hi,
I am Sophia, originally from Berlin and 24 years old. I graduated in summer 2022 my studies "Forestry" in Göttingen, Germany.

Now, I want to collect some experiences in other countries. My first step has been in Iceland where I worked at the Icelandic Forest Service for two month for the second time (August and September).
Then I was travelling and doing 2 Workaways in Latinamerica. Now I want to get to know Asia better and I am currently in my Workaway in Japan.

Generally, I am a person that loves to see and learn about different cultures and several skills. I love to be physically and also mentally active. I hope to find a place where I can make good connections to people, have great communications, learn from each other and have a great time together. Additionally, I would like to contribute to projects and I like the feeling to be an asset on team :))

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I just graduated my studies "Forestry" in Göttingen, Germany. In this study I learned economical as well as ecological aspects. It was basically about managing forests and I learned a lot of biological aspects about soil, climate, vegetation and animals.

I will go to Iceland in August to the Icelandic Forest Service, where I already worked last summer for six weeks. My tasks were forest work such as thinning, planting and firewood production. I also learned how to drive different tractors and have expierience with using a chainsaw.

For three and a half months I worked as an intern in a forest district at the Baltic Sea , where I gained some experiences in forester work, such as managing and planning timber harvesting, hunting management and other related tasks.

Before my studies I worked for three month in an instuitution for disabled people. With those we did forestry and gardening work. The field of activities included gardening services, planning and planting a hedge, building high seats, selling christmas trees and diverse forest operations like digging the in Germany invasive Prunus serotina, transport logs and the further processing to firewood.

Additionally I was as an intern in a kindergarden for three month and have experience as a babysitter. In 2015 I worked as a volunteer for 7 month in a facility for disabled people. There I was in the "kitchen group".

In my freetime I like to do manual labour, painting, sketching and I play the violin (but not very good :D). I love sports and go running, do yoga, wushu, badminton, dancing and sometimes volleyball. Generally, a lot of things are fun for me :)
