Hello there!

I’m a 27-year-old enthusiastic Finnish woman. I'm seen as a positive, energetic and vibrant person. I have grown up on a countryside, basically in the middle of nowhere, so since my childhood I have got used to working and not being afraid to get my hands dirty - the opposite. I prefer to keep myself busy and on the go. On the contrary, I'm also a calm and caring person and know when and how to be still. There are so many things to enjoy and learn every day and I don't want to miss these small opportunities. I work in a tourism industry and I like my job at the moment a lot. I still have great opportunities to travel and explore the world. Meeting new people and sharing our cultures and just aspects of life is always intriguing.

I'm into sports and nature, and the combination of these two. I love adventures and trying new things, as I'm quite active in this point of view. Though I also enjoy reading books, making handicrafts, knitting, cooking and baking. I have also been studying quite a few languages and wouldn't mind to practice them in real-life situations. I come along very well with people with different ages and background. I also enjoy playing with kids and being creative with them, at the same teaching if I see there is a chance to that. I have two nieces of the age six and four although it feels like they were just born 😃

I had my first Workaway experiences in 2019 when I traveled to Australia and New Zealand. I had great hosts and wonderful moments and I would love to go through the same energy again. Those memories will last for life. Besides that adventure, I have been traveling a lot, both solo and with a friend. Last summer I spent three weeks traveling around Italy and Spain, taking advantage of Couchsurfing. What have I realized is that I'm not a regular tourist type. I want to experience the cultures in a deeper level and get to know with locals. Thank you for reading, I'm more than pleased to chat more and answer the questions. Have a lovely day! 😊

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
As my background lays on the countryside, I have got used to various tasks at a farm. From taking care of animals, painting, repairing, mowing the lawn, gardening to cooking and cleaning. I'm quite a handy person I could say. Just maybe need some instructions and tools, and I'm on my way. With my flexibility and open-mind I can easily adapt to different situations.

I have also played a guitar and piano in my youth and still do occasionally, but the most I have forgotten. I do know I'm not a singer and not very artsy person, so drawing nor painting cool detailed images is not my thing, I can admit.

Sonja was our first workaway experience. We are very happy to have met her. She helped me a lot to improve my English and was very patient. She was always interested in us and our lives and very independent. She was a great addition to our family and we would be very happy if she came back one day. We will definitely visit Finland in the future.

My experience at the farm was overall amazing. Although I did some hard work, it was just a few hours per day. Nerida made sure I definitely got enough rest and food. I spent a great week at Robin's. The farm has a lot of work to do and I got to help in various odd jobs maintaining the farm.
