Description

We're hoping to land in spaces that center & create community. Our backgrounds are in youth education in arts and the environment,(Sophie is an arts writer & educator, Jared works for a wildlife refuge for the U.S. National Park Service), and we're looking to learn new ways of living & teaching.

Would like to commit our time to:
-creative land use
-learning Spanish language
-local artist projects & archive work
-hands-on research projects
-farming practice/methodology
-eco-restoration
-botany/local plant knowledge
-permaculture
-nature-centric lifestyles

(Also prefer hiking, backpacking & camping as often as we can)

Excited to join & contribute to any social community willing to share their space & stories.

*Together we've lived & worked on over 4 workaway projects, and individually we've both been in multiple workaway-like contexts worldwide.

Both proficient and able to teach English. Jared is beginner/intermediate in Spanish, Sophie is intermediate/fluent in French and a beginner in Spanish. We're hoping to work on both Spanish and/or French and open to only communicating in those languages!

Sophie: arts communication, writing, youth education, basic carpentry & painting, art handling (background in art insurance), french language, gardening, cooking, baking apple pie, jumping cars, inventing new games, power tools, tour guide & retail experience, trail maintenance, inventory/registrar work
