Hi dear Hosts!
My name is Silvia, I am a 23-year-old Italian girl, born and raised in the mainland near Venice.
I had been thinking about engaging in a workaway project for a long time, but this summer, thanks to the fact that I'll be finished with my bachelor degree, seems like the first truly perfect time.

I consider myself a language enthusiast: I have studied English, French and their respective literatures/cultures for years, both in high-school and then in Uni, with the dream of becoming a full-time language teacher (I already have some experience in this domain), or maybe even a writer, if I'll ever find the courage to "expose" myself and my thoughts xD.

I would probably extend my claims, and even say that I am a a communication enthusiast, as I also love talking to people of all ages, engaging in meaningful conversation, or in lighthearted small- talk. Because of that I am thrilled to get to know welcoming and curious hosts that will share their knowledge, experience and even their language with me.

Furthermore, over the years I have also cultivated a deep passion for music, particularly for singing: every now and then I host small concerts in my local area :), nothing fancy, just a way to connect with people while doing something I love.

In these past few years, I have had the pleasure and the possibility to live in Paris for 9 months thanks to the Erasmus project, and to carry out an internship in Berlin for a couple of months.
Having lived in a very small industrial town my whole life, I felt that I needed to grasp the beauty and the infinite chances of the metropolis. My experiences were both amazing :)

But now, in this particular slice of my life, I feel that nature is calling me. The mountains, the sea, the wildness, small local villages, the peace, the quiet. But most importantly, working outdoors/indoors, engaging in manual mansions with other motivated people.
All this sounds incredibly necessary and exciting for me at the moment.

So yeah here's me :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-social skills, due to my jobs as a catering worker when I was younger and as a teacher this past year (both with high school students and adults)
-hardworking person: organized, determined, precise
-I don't have much manual expertise (building/gardening) but I am willing to learn new skills and to apply them quickly. My lack of knowledge will be compensated by my strong will 🤣
