Description

Hello, I am Sean, a friendly guy who has done a lot of charity and volunteer work in Europe and Asia. I taught English in Vietnam, provided general care for an elderly lady in Thailand, Assisted an NGO in setting up a school in Cambodia, Taught basic woodworking and restoration to support local orphanages in Romania, Helped renovate a house and cared for animals in Wales, as well as countless hours in the UK volunteering for various charities and causes including fundraising, community events, retail, furniture repair, painting, and restoration, youth and elderly clubs among other things.

Basically, I really like getting stuck in where help is needed and don't mind what it is I'm doing, I love learning new things, meeting new people and seeing new places. Knowing I am making a positive impact on the world gives me an immense feeling of satisfaction in my work.

My skills are heavily creative mostly based around crafting/DIY, I have a degree in Furniture restoration, conservation, and the decorative arts. This covered a wide range of skills and I have picked up a few of my own on other courses, helping with projects and YouTube. These all are at different levels of competency so please ask for more details if it's a skill you are interested in. I am also quite happy to get stuck in wherever I am needed doing something completely new.

I love being around nature and animals, I enjoy taking walks and exploring new places. I am quite happy working alone or finding my place in a team, After spending the last couple of years living in Birmingham city centre I need a change of pace and to get back to a more rural setting, with animals and meaningful work.
