Hi! I'm Sara, I arrived in NZ last December on a Working Holiday Visa and plan to stay here for one year.
I love travelling, specially slow travelling, since I think that is the best way to truly get to know a place and its people. And I think Workaway is a great way to do that.

I am open to various kinds of volunteering opportunities, I am a very patient and relaxed person with a passion for learning new skills.

About my studies, I have a Bachelor's in Psychology, and worked for a year with people with mental disabilities and disorders. Also have a master's in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and have taught it before.
I also have plenty of experience in hospitality in different countries:
• 5 months in a hotel in Iceland doing housekeeping and reception mostly.
• 6 months at a pub in Norway being a waitress/bartender.
• 4 months at a hostel in Canada being an evening receptionist.
• 2 months in Finnish Lapland being an activity guide.

I have done a couple work for exchange experiences at hostels in Canada and once at a farm.
In 2023 I did volunteering at ARA, an animal rescue in Portugal, helped walking and socialising with the dogs and cleaning the kennels and dog parks. I love animals and I'm really specially interested in working with them.

I speak Swedish, French, Portuguese and English and I am a Spanish teacher.

I enjoy photography, drawing, music, anything creative during my free time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- I am a language teacher so could teach you Spanish! Also speak a few other languages that could be maybe useful :).
- I have experience taking care of dogs and cats and absolutely love animals.
- I worked in hotels and restaurants so could help with cleaning/organizing.
- I studied Psychology and worked in the field for a year.
- I love anything artistic, I'm trying to learn photography and drawing, also enjoy playing guitar.
I am open and would totally love to learn new skills!
