Description

Me (Sandra!) and Brad just moved out of a ski town where we worked together in customer service and lived through the largest snowfall in the towns history! We met teaching at ski school a few years ago and have had fun together ever since!
While traveling we hope to learn more about the countries and communities we visit through work experiences, not just being a tourist.
My love for travel really ignited when I studied abroad in Cambodia in a field studies program which completed my degree in environmental studies. I’ve since challenged myself in many ways including traveling to Argentina alone to work on a farm, learning rock work on a trail crew, learning to ski as an adult and being an environmental volunteer with Peace Corps Malawi. Unfortunately my volunteer position ended shorter than I had planned but it lead me to end up in the ski town where I met Brad. Brad grew up on a tree farm and loves getting outdoors and working with his hands. Some of his most memorable experiences leading to now include volunteering in Belize working to build housing for orphaned youth and working on crews eliminating invasive plant species in Midwest America. We're both adventurous and love trying new things. We strive to be constantly learning and are up for any challenge!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sandra: I’ve studied abroad in Cambodia doing environmental field work, worked in restaurants and stores with customer service, learned how to ski, then taught people how to ski, I’ve done tail work with AmeriCorps where I learned dry stone masonry then became the advisor for a trail crew and I was an environmental volunteer in Malawi with Peace Corps. I’m fluent in Latvian. I like meeting new people and learning and working hard.
Brad: I grew up working on a small tree farm so I have lots of experience with landscaping and land management, as well as basic handy work and diy projects. I’m proficient with most tools and bigger equipment such as chainsaw and tractors. Aside from hands on labor I’m pretty good with computers and have a lot of experience with sales and inventory systems in retail settings. Most of all I’m hard working and love to learn and figure things out as I go. I always look forward to solving problems and figuring out new challenges.
