'Hi there! We're Rosie & James- a couple from Australia who are on a 12 month trip through Europe, Central, and South America. James and I are both very responsible, passionate, adventurous and outgoing people, and we would love to meet you!

About Rosie: 'Hi! I'm Rosie- 28 years old and from Australia. I love connecting with people, and being a part of a community is a huge part of my life and what gives me motivation. This is why James and I wanted to not just 'travel hop', but wanted to volunteer on workaway- we love exploring new places but we love meeting people and learning about their country and culture even more so.

Back home, I work in the mental health education space in schools across Australia, which I am very passionate about. In my spare time I love to be in nature or moving my body; hiking, surfing, camping, or just pottering around the garden. After a big day my favourite thing to do is cozy up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea. I also love cooking, and would love to learn about different ways of cooking in different parts of the world.

About James: Hey! I’m James, a 28 year old from Sydney Australia. I’m a fun loving human who is always ready to have a laugh. I love meeting people from all walks of life and sharing stories.

I’m super passionate about the natural world and strive to leave it a little better than when I arrived. My background is in environmental science and have had a few different jobs in this sector (bush regeneration, waste and recycling consulting, ocean clean up and broader environmental management projects).

I’m huge on hobbies and sports and love learning new skills. I also really enjoy taking photos and writing a little bit.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

James and I are both very practical and resourceful people, who are equally always eager to learn new skills. James has experience working in environmental management, conservation, bush regeneration, and construction. Rosie has experience working with kids and teens, in disability support work, and likes to spend a lot of time in the garden as this is a big hobby of hers. However, she would also like to learn a lot more about gardening and/or farming. She also loves cooking and baking and would be happy to help out with this!!
