👋🏼 Hey, I'm Leo! 😄 I'm an enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic Italian guy 🇮🇹 who is currently backpacking through South America. I started in Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷 and I'm traveling south till Ushuaia 🇦🇷 to then turn and travel north-west until Colombia 🇨🇴.

I was born in the south of Italy, moved to the center, and then moved to Bologna (northeast) at 19. I studied there for my Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and during that period, I did 2 exchanges: one in Lithuania 🇱🇹 and the other in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 🇪🇸. After that, I completed a double Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction & Design in Finland 🇫🇮 and Sweden 🇸🇪 🤓

I've been working remotely as a freelance App developer 💻 for the past three years. This work allowed me to travel 🛫 and work 💼 while also studying 📚

I'm now 25 years old and have experience as a waiter 🍽️, receptionist 📞, programmer 💻, and event organizer 🎉. I spent my first workaway traveling with two crazy guys through the USA 🇺🇸 for a month, mostly helping them with their online presence 🌐, promoting small businesses 💰, crafting their van 🚐, and flying a drone 🛸😎

I enjoy spending time in nature 🌿 and am in love with sunsets 🌅, lakes 🏞️, forests 🌲, and anything far away from the city noise 🏙️ and human pollution 🏭. Monotony kills me 💀, so I enjoy breaking out of my comfort zone 💪🏼, meeting new people 👫, learning new things 🧠, and spending time in wonderful places 🌍

I'm interested in photography 📷 (check my Instagram @leonardorignanese) and art (from sculptures 🗿 to graffiti 🎨). I like reading books 📚 about science (astro 🌟, addictions 💊, nutrition 🥑), social science (anthropology 🧑‍🔬, sociology 🧑‍💼), and travel (On the Road 🛣️, Vagamondo 🌎). I listen to a lot of music 🎶, mainly rock 🤘🏼, indie 🎸, and electronic 🎧. I recently started practicing bodypainting 🖍️, it's really fun!

I enjoy outdoor activities 🌄 both on the sea 🌊 and in the mountains 🏔️, such as hiking 🧗🏼‍♂️, rock climbing 🧗🏼‍♂️, longboarding 🛹, surfing 🏄‍♂️, snorkeling 🏊‍♂️, and scuba diving 🤿 (I have a PADI license 🔵). I'd like to have a super stretched body 🧘🏼‍♂️, so I'd love to improve my yoga skills (I find acro yoga particularly interesting 🤸‍♂️). I'm also into meditation 🙏🏼, although I haven't taken it too seriously yet (one day I will).

I generally live pretty simply: I'm used to sleeping in odd places 🛏️ and am not a picky eater 🍽️. I'm a good worker 💪🏼 and an easy guest 🏡. I'm also a Couchsurfer 🛋️ (I hosted many travelers in my flat), you can read my profile and what people have said about me there (link below).

I speak fluently English 🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸, and Italian 🇮🇹. I know some words of Portuguese 🇵🇹, Swedish 🇸🇪, and Finnish 🇫🇮.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm responsible and totally indipendent: I live alone and I'm mostly a solo traveller.

Talking about my skills:
- PROACTIVITY: I put this one as first because I believe procastination is the worst habit. You can be the skillest man on earth but if you hold over the commitments you have, the final result is mediocre. Usually when I want\need to do something, I focus and do it.

- BUILDING: when I was 3, my parents gave me Lego and from there I've got passion about building and reparing: from fornitures to motorbikes engines passing through Playstations and other digital stuff. Basically I'm an handyman. I have to admit that sometimes I fix stuff in my own way: usually it is far from the ortodox one but it works (and it's cooler ;) )

- PHOTOGRAPY: in love with it. Mainly landscapes and nature, but also people are nice to photograph :)
I've got a mirrorless camera and 2 lenses, I'm taking online courses. I've just published my first calendar!

- COOKING: I like healty food, so I can have the enery I need to live the day at the maximum. Don't forget I'm Italian ;)

- INFORMATICS: I've studied Informatics since I was a kid. I'm proud to report that once I received a call from Microsoft Talent Team for an intership proposal: such a big achievement!
I'm mainly into apps: I pubblished an app when I was 19yo that has been downloaded more than 300.000 times all over the world! Nowadays I work as a remote app developer for 2 californian guys.
