Description
Hello! My name is El (they/them), I have been traveling around the world for one year, including visiting and volunteering in Nepal, Thailand, Australia, United States, and Europe! Partway through my travels I was inspired to change the way I spend time in the countries I visit to longer-term volunteering on farms, projects, ashrams, and the like. I found a passion for construction including natural building techniques involving mud, eco bricks, and bamboo. Similarly, I have started to enter the knowledge world of permaculture and want to dig deeper into it. So, I am searching for communities and projects that have permaculture, agroforestry, natural building, mycology, veganism, intentional living, and/or wellness as part of their mission! I’ve had meaningful experiences at the farms so far and I look forward to more connections, growth, hands-on work, and learning. A bit about my other interests: I have worked in several kitchens and I love to cook and feed others; I am very active and have been up to lots of running, yoga, meditation, and swimming; I used to dance for years and recently I’ve channeled that love into ecstatic dance, including leading ecstatic sessions for others! Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have lots of experience working with people of different backgrounds and needs and cultivating community. I have some experience with farming/gardening and am open to doing outdoor work. I have some experience with building/construction and would really love to become more skilled in building, mechanical work, and using power tools.
