Hi, I‘m Simon!

I enjoy to experience new places and to meet people with different cultures and mindsets.

I think I'm easy to talk to, very adaptive to new surroundings and like to help out wherever I can. Usually, I already have some basic knowledge for whatever task there is for me. But if I do not, I‘m eager to be teached about it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My background is in Mechatronics, working as a technician for a metal producing company. I've also worked in the IT Service, mainly hardware support, for the same company for a little while.
During my travels, I've done a variety of jobs: Housekeeping in Canada, Mechanical Maintenance in Australia, Dairy Farm Work In New Zealand.

I've also had the pleasure of 3 wonderful WorkAway experiences so far:
Staying with a great host Bob, in Canada, I was helping him out at his lakesided house, getting boats ready for winter and doing lots of firewood. Also maintaining his rental cottage close by..
In Perth, my host Andrew needed Assistance renovating an old 1920s building for his family. That was a great way to start off there.
My last stay was in New Zealand with Christina and Gustav, where I've helped out in their automotive garage. They needed a hand working on some cars and trailers, teaching me some great skills!
