Hi!! My name is Preslie, I am a lost 23-year-old ready to experience the world! I recently graduated from a college in Texas, and recieved my bachelor's in Anthropology. After graduation, I began to browse the job market and realized that I still had an itch I needed to scratch. I'm not the kind of person who has always known what they wanted to do, but traveling and seeing the world has been a consistent desire of mine. So, it's now or never!
I grew up in a small town in Texas and moved away, five years ago, to broaden my horizons. My world was so small in my hometown, and I craved new experiences and perspectives. In college, I majored in cultural anthropology with a minor in religious studies. Through my coursework and studies, my desire for cultural exchange grew. I got the opportunity to study abroad in Canterbury, England during the summer of 2024. And yes, I am a cliché, because this study abroad trip did change my life. I interacted with and learned about so many different cultures, and in exchange learned some things about myself. By putting myself out there in the world, I learned that I am outgoing, adventurous, easy-going, and just down to have a good time and connect with new people. I believe that making meaningful connections, no matter how small, is one of the most important things that we as humans have. All we have is each other, and I would like to share these experiences with others.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in customer service for most of my adult life. I think working with others and being personable is one of my strongest skills. I have worked as a server for 5 years, and I am now an assistant manager at a family-owned restaurant. Working in restaurants and bars has given me proficient skills in communication, multi-tasking, and teamwork, (and I can pour a mean beer). I enjoy the rush of a busy shift and I thrive in stressful situations. As a manager, I gained skills in creative thinking, problem-solving, and leadership.
I am great with people, but I am even better with kids! I currently have a second job as a substitute teacher, and throughout high school, I used to babysit, and volunteer at daycares. I have skills in childcare, teaching, and lesson planning.
Besides professional skills, I am a great housekeeper/cleaner and organizer. I have excellent attention to detail and I just really enjoy cleaning.

My favorite lazy hobbies are reading and watching movies. I will read and watch just about anything; I am very easily entertained. My favorite genre (if I had to pick) would be fantasy. I love getting lost in another world! If I were a character, I would be Alice from Alice in Wonderland.
When traveling, I love to try new foods, go to local pubs, see historic sites, and adventure. I, also, enjoy learning about different religious groups and practices.
