Description

Hello! I'm Piper (25F), creative, curious being, and traveler from the USA. I feel most motivated when I can contribute my attention to detail and interdisciplinary thinking to organizations and communities, and I find fulfillment in seeing other people apply my ideas to their own directions.

My academic background is in economics and linguistics. Since finishing university, I’ve been living communally in New Orleans (USA) and working in the International Services Office at the local medical/research university. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant in psychiatry, as well as service industry peppered in.

I love meeting new people, and I cherish the ways that my travels have shaped me. So far, I've lived in Finland, Panama, and several parts of the USA. I’m especially drawn to places with a strong sense of community, ecological values, creativity, or alternative ways of living. I value opportunities big and small to exchange, learn, and contribute.

I also love trading skills! I would love to share my knowledge about swimming and water safety (competitive swimmer for 11 yrs, lifeguard for 6 yrs), sewing and tailoring (9+ yrs), as well as cutting hair (9+ yrs).

In my free time, you can usually find me:
- Partner dancing (most experienced with east coast swing and two-step. Would love to learn anything you got!)
- Browsing the Internet Archive
- Watching lectures from International WikiMania conferences
