Hi, I’m Philipp, 39 years old, living in Frankfurt am Main. I work as a chief flight attendant for a major German airline, and I’m always looking for new adventures to deepen my cultural and language knowledge.

I discovered Workaway during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/2021, during which I had two incredible experiences in Norway and Thailand. When life returned to normal, I resumed my role as a chief flight attendant. I’ve been with my company for 19 years—16 of those as cabin crew. In addition to flying, I also work at my airline’s headquarters, where my department oversees onboard service procedures and provides crews with essential training and manuals.

I’m currently seeking my next Workaway adventure—ideally one that allows me to immerse myself in the local culture, work outdoors in nature, and enjoy a peaceful break from the big-city hustle. I’d also love an opportunity to apply my hospitality expertise, ensuring that guests or visitors have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

With my background in aviation and hospitality, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, adaptability, and a service-oriented mindset to everything I do. Whether it’s assisting with a project, helping guests feel welcome, or sharing stories over a meal, I truly value meaningful interactions with people from diverse backgrounds. I’m also eager to learn new skills and contribute wherever I can.

I love spending time outdoors, working in the garden, caring for animals, and keeping things organized. I’m enthusiastic, precise, and always bring a positive attitude to my work. While I consider myself outgoing, I also appreciate moments of solitude to recharge.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My expertise is hospitality, anyway for my workaway-adventures I‘m looking for something different, preferably away from big cities, calm and quiet.
As I grew up on the countryside, all tasks around the house and garden are something I‘m experienced in and also find joy in. Hard and dirty work? No problem ;)
Furthermore I‘m interested in language and cultural exchange - I get to know a lot of different cultures when working in my regular job und would love to extend this knowledge.
In one of my last workaways I also found joy in animal care.
