Description

Hello future friends and family :)
Although I'm from New York originally, my family is Sicilian and Slovak, so my heart is truly European. I have traveled alone extensively and have been teaching Pre-K-12 and adults for 15 years. My students have taught me so much more than I could ever teach them and I love my job.
Along with living in New York and Charlotte, North Carolina; I have also lived in Venice, Rome, Samsun, Turkey and Prague. I speak Italian, some Spanish and have an applied proficiency in Turkish and Czech.
My Master's degree is in Public Administration, so I also do a lot of advocacy and non-profit work. I am hoping to open a mobile NGO in the very near future.
Aside from travel, I love to learn new things; to read, write, explore, spend time outside, take photographs, study history and engage with people from different cultures.
I am energetic, empathetic, friendly, flexible, open-minded, hard-working, honest and willing to take on most any challenge. My 'growth game is strong' (A slang expression for all of the non-native speakers out there :)
