Description

Hey! We are a couple from the Czech Republic who want to get away after finishing school and experience and learn something new along!

He loves to travel as much as possible, mainly in summer. He joined Workaway because he thinks it is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and get to know foreign countries. Before, he spent on Erasmus in Portugal, living in the Van and surfing in the meantime. His hobbies are sports, computers (he has a degree in computer science), and pretending that he knows how to play guitar. Petr is really keen to sport and exploring nature. He prefers the countryside to the city even though we live in the town back home in Czechia. After returning home, he already misses the fresh air of traveling and being excited about the unknown once again. At the moment, he works for a company where he is developing a mobile app. he enjoys his work and is very passionate about it, but it is time to change the "office surroundings", from the European boring office to the Sri Lankan beach and chill cowork.

She graduated from the Education program and has worked as a Kindergarten teacher in an English classroom for the past 4 years. She also just came back from her Erasmus in Sweden, where the different way of teaching inspired her so much for her current work with children. She was also an Au-pair in Spain and Ireland and worked as a caretaker in a children's center. Since she is used to being pretty busy because of handling school activities, kindergarten work, giving English lectures, and babysitting all together, she usually likes to rest by doing Yoga or by painting Henna in her free time. She also loves to go for walks and just enjoy the "sun charge".

Together, they are enthusiastic and free-spirited young people who are seeking some meaningful fulfillment in their time during the following winter months.

Last summer, they spent three months in Indonesia and Malaysia and had a chance to stay and volunteer at amazing Workaway hosts. This experience was so nice, they are eager to do it again and get to know local life and the people of Sri Lanka. They are both vegetarians, and they are cheerful and joyful folks most of the time... Until she gets cold or he gets hungry.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Petr: I have some experience with farm work from my volunteering in Romania. I can also help you with computers currently I work as a web developer for a local non-profit organization.

Tereza: More than 6 years of practical experience with children 2 to 12 years old. Teaching English. Creating yoga sessions for other students during the semester. AND professional tea drinker&lover.
