Hello!

My name is Paige, I’m a 23 year old Canadian. Im currently taking some time off work to travel and experience more of the world. While at home, I work as registered nurse at a children’s hospital. I have been traveling throughout Asia for the last 5 months and am now making my way over to Europe.

I’m passionate about working with kids. I have much experience. I have previously worked at a daycare in Canada part time for 6 months, working with children aged 6 months to 6 years old. I have taught english online to children for 3 months full time. I have also volunteered teaching english in Italy for a month to preschool aged children. Currently, I am a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit in a Canadian hospital and have been working here full time for a year and a half. I also have experience supporting adults and children with mental and physical disabilities.

A little about me personally, I love travelling! I have done shorter travels in the past but am now looking for a more long term travel experience. I also love yoga, meditation, swimming, reading, meeting new people and trying new things. I just got my 200 hour yoga teaching certification in India in May of this year, if you’re interested in practicing yoga, I can help you develop your practice :). I love doing anything in nature as well, I would really enjoy a job that has me outside.

I’m a flexible and easy going person. I am more than willing to help out however needed! I love learning and would like to have lots of different experiences on my travels. Please let me know if you have any questions about me :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Additionally to what is previously stated I have these skills and experience:

I currently work as a personal support worker for adults with mental disabilities. This has given me much experience with taking care of people and child care. I help with bathing, feeding and clothing and I help to educate at a preschool level. I am very comfortable as a caregiver and would enjoy taking care of children or elderly. in addition, I have 2 years experience working at a child care facility where I helped educate preschoolers, toddlers and infants. I am certified to teach English as a second language. I volunteered for a month in Bali, Indonesia helping to educate grade school students on health and wellbeing in English. This in addition with my current experience as a caregiver and past experience in the daycare makes me very comfortable teaching English to students. I also have customer service experience, I worked at a restaurant for just over a year as a server. This allowed me to gain confidence while interacting with customers and had allowed me to develop my conflict resolution skills. I am quite personable and enjoy interacting with clients, I would be very comfortable working in a hotel or hostel.
I also have quite the understanding of medicine and health since I am getting a degree in nursing. I am certified in first aide and CPR at the healthcare provider level and am very versed in how to handle medical emergencies.
I also enjoy gardening very much, I do not have any experience doing this for work but it is a hobby of mine.
